McDonald's — Restaurant in Winnipeg

Normally, we get good service and the food is prepared as ordered. However, tonight was the complete opposite. We decided to grab a small, late night bite from this location after working all day and we went through the drive thru. I kid you not, we sat there for 10 minutes, waiting for someone to say something. We said “hello” a few times and even considered honking the horn when we noticed a car that pulled into the right lane drive thru was put through for an order AFTER we had already been sitting there for a few minutes. I told my boyfriend to drive around to the window, as we also noticed another person come to the right lane drive thru but they didn’t get served and they went around to the window — nobody was at the window when we approached it so my boyfriend waved to get someone’s attention and one of the workers came over. She mentioned that the drive thru orders weren’t working, so we asked why someone didn’t let us know that while we were sitting and waiting. She said “oh I didn’t have my mic on” and I said “you would’ve seen us sitting in the drive thru on your cameras…” it’s kind of unprofessional to just let us sit there and not have the mic on to let us know this had happened. We drove away without an apology or anything. We noticed another few drivers sitting in the drive thru as we left — you’d think they’d have signs up or even put pylons up to let customers know not to go through. I recently moved to the Linden Woods area and have gone to this Mcdonald’s many times. Every time I’ve gone inside there is someone mopping when the floor isn’t even dirty, they are waiting for an accident to happen.

The workers in the back are so loud I can hear them in the women’s bathroom. One girl with round glasses is extremely rude and one lady with a latino accent is always yelling. AND MY ORDERS ARE ALMOST ALWAYS WRONG WITHOUT APOLOGY.

Some of the staff are lovely though, one lady with red hair is very accommodating. I try to remember some names of people of take my orders at the front but I couldn’t name them accurately. A couple of them are the lady with red hair (I think her name is Barbara), a young punjabi girl whose name starts with S, and a couple of others.

There’s usually only one or two people making the food and that makes me question the management at the place. Overall I’m going to be visiting the McDonalds on Kenaston...

UPDATE: June 28, 2025, about 1-2pm. I wanted to try the new "International Menu 'Heist' Meal", and I have to say I was a million percent soooo pleased!! The Japanese Terriaki Chicken Burger is the best!! The extremely great staff there, and helped to serve to table, even when no table service tags were available. The gentleman, who cleaned areas there, was top notch! He made sure traffic on floor gone, then he will clean the area. After tables was free he cleaned the seating areas right away, and properly. My order was a bit slow, but well worth the wait for the best hot fries!! Just that my McFlurry was forgotten, but the server made it perfectly, and brought it to my table. The coffee was made exactly how my company wanted it, too. I will most certainly be back to...
