Came in today with 5 friends (who were all eating dinner, one had two bowls). I just had a cheesecake. Cheesecake was delicious, and the staff were all friendly. However, I had a bit of a mishap and there were multiple pieces of paper in my cheesecake. Some parchment paper then some brown paper that was from the bottom of the cheesecake/packaging. Of course I didn't notice until after paper was in my mouth. The first piece I didn't care a ton about, but the second one was really unappetizing and I didn't finish the desert. Manager came and assessed the situation, and told me they would discount my cheesecake. The friendly server came by and told me they would cover my cheesecake, at this point I was happy and would have left a 5 star review. Paper in cheesecake is probably rare and service was great overall. They brought me my bill and there was a dinner plate charge on it, and the cheesecake was 100% discounted. I brought it to their attention that I didn't have dinner, and they brought me a new bill with only the cheesecake and a 20% discount. I would have been happy with 50%, I understand I wasn't buying much today and I didn't expect it would be free. It was just really disappointing after being told it would be covered. Overall I Do recommend Mongos as a restaurant to eat at. I've had dinner there before. Food is delicious with...

This was the first time going to Mongos since the pandemic and was very disappointed in the customer experience they've changed since going. The decision to increase the price significantly can be sort of explained. But on top of the price increase they decided to nickel and dim their customers. You want Dragon Rach dip? Not for a significant upcharge of 5% of your meal, per small shot glass. You want cheese and a wrap like I used to get? Those are 11% up charge each of your meal. That used to be included. That left a very poor taste in my mouth. The server was terrible. She brought our drinks half way through the meal, then asked us if we wanted refills after we were well passed finished and fed up. I had to ask for a high chair 4 times before getting fed up and walking across the restaurant to get it myself. Speaking with the manager proved to be ineffective other than an apology, yet the restaurant was only 1/3 full. Unfortunately I've been going 6-7 times per year for years and unfortunately I'll think twice about going back. There is very little customer experience and satisfaction here. I used to really enjoy going. See you in another 2 years I guess.... Hopefully something changes for the better because right now that's a shell of what...

Mongos has not been the same since covid hit. They started charging extra for the dragon sauce. Frustrating to say the least especially when I'm not putting some of the more expensive buffet options on my bowl. I noticed tonight cheese is now also extra -- close to $2!?

Their prices have naturally increased and I can find better food for that price.

Went to the kenaston location tonight as my daughter really wanted to go. We told our waitress that our table was vegetarian and she said she would tell the grill. Got to the grill and the guy working said they aren't supposed to fully clean the grill because of vegetarians anymore but he'd make an exception tonight. Uhhh. What? He then proceeded to clean one spot and asked if it would be ok that they just used one spot. The restaurant was quiet at the time. They didn't need the space to fill a long que. No one else came to the grill when we were there. So random.

Then we got our dishes and it seemed like the sauces have been watered down. I know it's based on what you put in your sauces but I've had mine nailed down for quite a well and I went back more than once to add more flavor.

I can't imagine us going back.

So sad. We've had so many lovely family...

I would prefer to give 3.7 if possible. First the good. Nice family atmosphere and the waitress are nice and friendly. At this time of the year (June 2020) they are just opening up again and so not many people inside. Food was prepared quickly. Quality of you plate will depend on what sauces you use mainly. I recommend using all 8 options for sauces. Not expensive. Kids’ meal is pretty cheap. Good quantity. The bad. Only one for me. I love protein and unfortunately the amount of chicken and shrimp I ordered was very low in quantity. Same condition for all the four menus we ordered. May go for a second time. But definitely worth trying out once.

Did not enjoy my experience here. I do not believe the stress of picking your own items for your meal and trying to pile your plate so it doesn't fall off is not a good dining experience. The persons that cook up your pile on the big hot grill just over cook your meal into mush with high heat and excessive water. The restaurant looks and feels like a cafeteria. The packaged Thai soup was decent. Our server was pleasant. Lots of parking and licensed.
