Wow. Just visiting Winnipeg for the Outdoor Comedy Fest and kinda felt like a deli sandwich. Googled places and found this PHENOMENAL gem! I ordered the Spicy Scarlet (who knew chicken salad and banana peppers went together this well). I wanted to try other sandwiches but oddly chose this one because it was so unique and out of my normal and now I will want it everytime I go there. How will I ever get to try the others. It’s a tiny little location but the staff immediately make you feel so welcome and handed us free cold bottled water on such a hot day. Sometimes it’s the little things that make a place so memorable but then I bit into my sandwich and pickle and I was over the moon happy. This place will be memorable for many reasons. My husband had the Winston Crew and said it was amazing and he will DEFINITELY order it again. It was our first time there but we witnessed so many regulars coming in and they were each recognized and acknowledged. How heartwarming is that. We were also given 2 scrumptious cookies for dessert. We hated to leave. We will definitely return Monday on our way home. Amazing, phenomenal and an absolute must stop when in Winnipeg!! Bravo. What a gem we discovered! If they were open today we’d have them 3 days in a row. If we hadn’t had the comedy festival to attend we would have gone back for another sandwich before they closed. Would two sandwiches in one day be excessive. Nope! 🤩⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ They deserve a page full of stars!! So excited we...
Read moreIt was my first time at Myer's and I had such a great experience! They have daily specials in terms of sandwiches, but you don't have to go with them if you don't want to, but they're good deals! Everyone is so friendly!
I had the beef dip sandwich which of course came with an au jus. The meat was so soft and tender, the bread was nice and toasty, the cheese melted so nicely, onions sweet and caramelized. Au jus was not salty, Greek pasta salad was good (but I wish it had olives - I know, not everyone loves them haha). I believe you can also get the deli meats by themselves.
They have bar stool type seating and the place can get packed quite easily. Went around 2 pm thinking the lunch rush would be done, but they're that popular! The customers come and go quickly.
They have baked goods and they're delish! They also support other local shops. They also stock your regular pop, but they also have bottled drinks that are quite unique.
They have parking along the side of the store, but chances are you'll need to park on the street.
I will definitely be back to try the other sandwiches...
Read moreWe drove all the way across the city to get grilled sandwiches. The restaurant closes at close8pm and we arrived at 740pm only to be told that the grills had been shut off and cleaned at 730pm... Because apparently they only pay the employees until 8pm, allowing no extra time for closing. We were turned away and the employee refused to turn the grill back on because then she would have to clean it again. How long does it take tofire up a grill and clean after 1 sandwich.. really. I work in restaurants and I cook and clean grills all the time. In all the kitchens I worker, we provide hospitality ...this wasn't that at all. Just change your closing time or make it clear nothing is being cooked after 730. The woman couldn't get us out the door fast enough and locked it up at 745pm with the open sign on. This used to be my favorite place to grab a sandwich. I'll have...
