I can not even rate this as a one, but I had to pick one. I normally do not rate my experiences on here, but this one, I have to. We placed our order for pick up at 6pm. They told us our order would be ready at 730. I got there at 730 to pick up my order and low and behold it was not ready. That, I can understand due to the state that we are in right now - due to Covid-19, and it being Mother's Day. I waited patiently for a 1/2 hour for them to even acknowledge my presence. There was a gentleman and his daughter there before me, that had placed their order at 5pm. One of the girls that worked there finally came out front and asked everyone for their phone number. I continued to wait. The gentleman asked the girl three times how long would his order be, each time he asked, she asked for his phone number again. Each time she never actually came back to give him a response. Another one of the girls that work there acknowledged all of us again, and kept asking for phone numbers. I finally stopped her, and asked the status of our order, and reminded her that the man in front of me had asked three times about the status of his order - and that they never actually gave him an answer. They finally told him at around 815pm that there was a mix up with the orders and that they were working on it. His daughter had nicely asked the girl to talk to her manager to see if they could get some sort of discount. I continued to wait, at 825pm they called out the gentleman's phone number and told them that his order was ready. As he was paying for his order they applied a whopping $8 dollar discount for the trouble. Now, looking at the size of the order, it appeared that it must have cost him at least $100. I would have to think after waiting for nearly 3.5 hours for the order, there would be a little more of a discount than that, and to top it off, all the owner/manger could manage to say was, "Do you want to come and try and cook back here?" At this point, I was getting extremely impatient. I walked up to 3 large bags of food that they had sat on one the tables at the front. They had been sitting there for about 15 minutes. It so happens that one of them was my order. "Finally!" I think to myself ..... I can get out of this nightmare, take this home to my hungry family, and eat my supper. So, I go home, set everything on the table and we start dishing out the food. The meat in everything we ordered was "slimy" - is the best way to describe it - the ginger beef, the chicken on the chicken chow mein, and even the chicken balls. Everything tasted bland. Because our order was over 60 dollars we were entitled for a free dish - some kind of a spicy chicken dish - which we did not get. Last, but not least, as you can see from the picture below, look close, there was a black hair that was baked right in the dough of the chicken ball. I have worked in the customer service industry for a very long time. I understand we are going through difficult times right now. It was super busy because of Mother's Day, and we are all learning new ways of how to do things. What I am most disappointed about was the lack of customer service. There are a number of simple things they could have done to help this matter. They could have called their customers and explained to them that they got a little overwhelmed and that there would be a delay. They could have offered a small discount for the people that were waiting for an hour or more in their lobby, instead of the customer having to ask for a discount, and giving the response of "Do you want to come and try and cook back here?!" Needless to say, they have lost my business, which is unfortunate because we have been there a few times before (when the previous owners were there) and it was always an awesome experience. Very sad, and disappointing.

We always order delivery from New Ocean King and it is never disappointing! Their dishes are always on point, not too salty or too bland! We love their walnut shrimp but we can never finish it and the next day the batter would get soggy, so we asked if we could have the sauce on the side and they were more than happy to do so! They put a good amount of meat on their dishes unlike other restaurants where the meat is hardly seen in a dish! Also if you order 55 dollars before taxes, you will get a free item, we had a free chicken fried rice this time😃 On top of this, they also gave us a free small white rice! Would definitely come back!

Ordered delivery. Upon arrival, the food was still hot and steaming. I am very impressed with the Ocean King Cantonese Chow Mein! The seafood was not chewy in the slightest. My favorite dish that we ordered was the breaded dry veal, but everything tasted great. The only thing I would have liked was for the bok choy stems to be softer. They were too crunchy for my liking.

Don't waste your time! We tried to order from here and were told it would be 30 mins for delivery. I thought that seemed awful quick so when the 30 mins came and went, I wasn't too surprised but then it got to 1.5 hrs so I called to find out what was going on? The woman asked my phone number and said she would look into it and put me on hold. After 7+ mins, the call suddenly dropped so I called back and had an identical repeat interaction with her and again waited on hold! After 7+ mins, I hung up this time and called back a 3rd time and had the same interaction but stopped her from putting me on hold this time and said to just tell me what was going on so she said something to a co-worker in their language, and the co-worker said something back, then she started to read back part of my order and said she "wanted to make sure they had it right" and I "need to listen carefully"! I confirmed that they were things from our order and it was supposed to be here more than 2 hours ago by that time, so what was going on?? She spoke with a co-worker again in their language then quickly said to me, "it will be 1 hour more, you still want it?" so I clarified again what I'd originally been told and wanted an honest explanation for why we didn't have it yet? I expected an apology at the least and comping some/all of the price, at the most but she just repeated it will be 1 hour more and do I still want it? At that point, I realized they didn't really care about having our order (around $150 worth) so I said to forget it and cancelled it as it likely would have ended up being much longer at that rate!!

So, like I said above, don't waste your time with them because obviously they don't want or need your business and don't mind playing games...

Absolutely delicious! Was hesitant, but now this will be my go to. I love mapo tofu and their sauce base is quite good (had the plain one). Mild spicy and flavorful. Tried the walnut shrimp as the reviews seems to show everyone loving it and yes it is very good. Gai lan dish very delicious highlighting it's main ingredient as fresh and tasty. Presentation was also better than other places I've gone to and it that was just for take out (will need to eat in). Deluxe fried rice had bbq pork strips, chicken pieces, beef strips, and whole large juicy shrimp, peas + carrots, and scrambled egg pieces (my little ones favorite and he loves shrimp). The wonton soup was wonderful and will need to order the large next time (excellent wontons and my husbands favorite... so far). (Miss my aunts chinese cooking so happy this place exists) Thank you for...
