On a regular basis, my friend and I meet at Tim Hortons for coffee at 1848 Main Street; Winnipeg. We maintain a cordial and respectful demeanour, never engaging in disruptive behaviour or causing trouble.
However, on Sunday, February 16th, during our departure, a group of regular customers, typically comprising of five individuals, became confrontational and hostile toward us. They were seated all together and began raising their voices at us due to the presence of empty cups at our table.
Despite our polite request to “mind your own business” and continue our departure, the group persisted in their rudeness. One individual, wearing a baseball cap with a distinctive hairstyle, resorted to profanity excessively, accompanied by the others in the group.
It is disconcerting that these customers failed to recognize the inappropriate nature of their language, particularly considering the potential presence of children in the vicinity. Their behaviour was clearly unwarranted and unacceptable.
While the restaurant is responsible for maintaining a clean and hygienic environment, it is not the sole responsibility of any individual customers.
We have observed that the tables at this establishment are rarely, if ever, cleaned, despite our frequent patronage.
This incident exemplifies the unacceptable behaviour exhibited by some customers in a restaurant setting.
Management must address this group of customers regarding their behaviour and emphasize that their actions toward customers are unjustifiable given their responsibilities as customers, which do not include maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the premises. It is crucial to convey that leaving one’s cup at a table previously occupied by another customer is not a matter of concern for any customer period.
The restaurant should strive to create a welcoming and peaceful atmosphere for all its patrons, free from hostility and discomfort. It is essential to address the perception that certain individuals feel entitled to the establishment as their personal domain.
We will schedule a meeting with management when they are available during these individuals’ presence to identify and address these concerns.
No customer should have experienced the difficulties we encountered when attempting to enjoy a peaceful...
Read moreTypically reviews are either very angry customers or very happy customers. I've withheld writing a review but after the now third instance I am not pleased. In particular the poor customer service of what happened this time. I ordered from skip a large order with the main item being the flatbread pizza. It did not arrive. I submitted a ticket and got a credit for the pizza, not the delivery fee or the tip or service fee. Here's the kicker so I reordered just the pizza which was covered by the credit but now I was charged an additional $5.79 because the order did not qualify for free delivery and I had to include a tip so now I paid the restaurant an extra $5.79 and when I called the store to speak to them about it, the gentleman who answered told me it was busy and they forgot to give the driver the second bag. So they admitted fault and he told me he would make a new one and I said that's great how about my old one they are only 5 minutes away he said they can't do that so I inquired as to whether I could get a second one seeing as I'm paying extra for something that was not my fault and they admitted ownership over and instead of listening he continuously cut me off with speaking over me and kept just saying you got a credit and I was trying to explain him yes I got a credit but now I'm paying a double delivery fee double tip and double services when I shouldn't be having to pay at all. Absolutely terrible customer service and when a vendor is in the wrong instead of arguing with a customer they should try and make it right, that's what we do at every single place I've ever worked for. Not to mention missing items from my order previously and squishing the donut into the bag. Will not be supporting the...
Read moreThe slowest place in town. This is not the first time I’ve come here, and it honestly feels like I’m being completely ignored. Employees are busy with their own stuff — one is cleaning, another is drinking something, someone else just walks by. Seriously, out of at least 4 staff members I saw, only 2 were actually doing something related to work. And it’s not like they were busy! The girl who eventually helped me was nice (Jelenny), and she seemed like the only one who actually cared about the endlessly growing line and even looked exhausted. It feels like the others are just waiting for the line to get huge before they even start working. Don't get me wrong - I wasn’t expecting much from Tim Hortons, but honestly, this has been the worst experience I’ve had in this city. It's like you walk in to get a coffee when see they're not busy and still spend 15 mins just standing being 2nd in line that is not moving. Last time I also waited forever, and in the end I got the wrong order and had to wait...
