My first visit to the Museum. It was actually a walking ghost tour organized by the Seven Oaks House and Museum. Due to Covid, we were not allowed in, but were shown all around the building and nearby ghostly haunts, including nearby Bleak House and the monument to the Seven Oaks massacre. Well informed tour guides, one of whom was an author of ' Haunted Winnipeg '. A good experience.

Beautiful afternoon! The museum celebrated its 65th Anniversary with cake and a tour coincided with a very enjoyable free performance by Manitoba Chamber Orchestra ensemble, Fiddlers on the Loose Concert > "live orchestral music with styles "from country swing to Red River jigs" played by some of Winnipeg's best professionals"

A small museum in Scotia Heights. For those that Love history, this one is for you. It is the oldest house in our city, you will love the timely setup, take a tour or explore on your own. Price-wise, they ask for a donation and sign their guest book upon arrival, Enjoy!

What an amazing experience it was to visit the Seven Oaks House Museum! It is one of the oldest buildings in Winnipeg. We had no idea that this place even existed until we were looking at the Doors Open website. My husband and I enjoyed learning about each artifact, and it was very cool to see vintage photos. Each section of the house showed a glimpse of how families used to live back in the 1800s. The museum offers tour guides. And I believe there is no admission fee. Admission is a monetary donation of your choice. P.S.. There have been rumours that they might be shooting the remake of Little House on the Prairie...

Wonderful experience! A great historic, informative, interactive walking tour! We went with another couple and did the walking tour with a group of approximately 30 people. We learned some very interesting facts about how the land was developed back in 1851! What an amazing idea to have such a great snipit of history made available...
