Sushi is incredible every time. Nigiri sushi has perfectly buttery fresh fish. The rice and seaweed are perfectly made and melt in your mouth with each bite. Rice is perfectly flavoured and nothing falls apart. I ordered many rolls and was pleased by all of it. My favourite is the eel they serve. And everything was packaged to perfection, although the soy sauce leaked out of the ramekins, it was wrapped tightly with saran wrap for my uber eats delivery. Pork dumplings were delicious with ponzu sauce. I'm not sure why the low ratings from others as I have only had perfected managed, and fresh delivery orders that for me, personally, are a cut above other restaurants. I also enjoy the small maki rolls because the ratio to fish, seaweed and rice is perfect and melts in your mouth. Oldschool style. Other restaurants make maki very large and I prefer the small style, for a good price and excellent quality. Thanks Wako Sushi!

However, after reading the reviews about the person at the front desk and answering the phones, it makes me sad that someone who works there is so rude to delivery drivers and customers. They all help your business and you should work to have a nicer customer service...

Great for take out! Dining area could use some serious upkeep or cleaning maybe(?). But Prep area in front of customers- seems ok. Had my doubts on dining in but was way too hungry to just take out. Pleasant surprise- The sushi/rolls: Seriously good! REAL CRAB MEAT on a 4.99 six piece roll Ingredients: no skimping- thick sliced SCALLOPS (not minced like most) from end to end of each roll at 6.99 Well noted: Real short grain sushi rice- although could use a bit more vinegar highlight the fresh seafood; the contrast is key. The tempura is good but just a personal preference batter could be lighter (Tokyo style- so far only one place in the city I found as of yet in StB). I tried to ask for a lemon to improvise for my dine in experience, which they didn’t have. Also proper Japanese soy sauce is a must. In the end I took the sushi home - adjusted the condiments to my taste. And truly enjoyed it. For the price and the quality of ingredients put in - the best sushi rolls in the...

Usually I love this place but this time it was horrible. Nothing but avocado on the sushi pizza that was supposed to include salmon - what a rip off. The pizza “crust” was also cold, hard and stale. I’ve ordered the same rolls a dozen times or more but this time many of the rolls were contaminated with an extremely spicy substance - so hot I couldn’t finish my food and 20 minutes later my lips are still on fire and I have a stomachache - and I can handle heat/spice. It completely ruined my meal! They clearly don’t clean their knives or preparation surfaces since the flavor of whatever spicy item they were preparing before very obviously transferred to my food. If they don’t clean that, what else aren’t they cleaning?! The sushi pieces are also getting narrower and narrower, many of them couldn’t hold together when picked up. This place has really gone downhill. I will definitely think twice before ordering...

I saw a lot of reviews and complaints about their services so I ordered through Uber (problem solved). And so my rating will only be for the food. This is like a “struggle meal/budget” sushi place. So you cannot expect they to use high quality ingredients or compare their tastes to other 2-3x more expensive sushi place. Given the price, I think their sushi were decent. The amount of tuna and salmon were quite less than cucumbers, rice and such. And there wasn’t any unagi in the unagi roll (at all). However, the chicken and shrimp tempura rolls were actually pretty good with big pieces of chicken and shrimp. Not a place for good sushi, but definitely a place for affordable sushi. So yeah, if you decide to order from them keep in mind their price and make sure you are okay with the trade off.

Okay. This is how they treat customers. Would you expect this amount of wasabi and ginger when you order $100, especially, when you asked for the extra? Even came with one missing roll. I never saw any of other sushi restaurant coming with this amount of wasabi when I did not even ask for the extra. If they are going to be cheap, why don't they just charge extra fee? Ordered here several times. Came with missing items several times already. This will be my last time here.
