I wouldn’t give them any stars but I have to share my experience that just happened. This morning I wanted to take my mom and my son out for a nice breakfast date only to be discriminated against and humiliated. These owners should be ashamed of themselves for treating us so poorly. I simply asked for extra napkins to which the woman cooking replied and suggested that I go grab some toilet paper from the bathroom, I should’ve walked out with my family after that but we were hungry and had already placed our orders so I didn’t pay no mind to it. Until we we’re about to be served our food and my mom asked for extra napkins cause we have a toddler with us who is quite messy, again we were denied yet they cater only to old Caucasian men and because we’re indigenous apparently we can only use toilet paper from the washroom at this restaurant and that’s completely unacceptable it escalated to the point we had to leave because they have no right to treat customers this way. I am livid that it’s the year 2022 and people can still be so bold and brazenly racist!!! Never again will I spend a single dollar here, and if you do then I’d question your morals. Terrible people and terrible service especially sad my son had to witness this who’s only 4 and has to grow up knowing sometimes we will be treated poorly simply cause the colour of our skin....

I decided to try the Swiss Mushroom Burger for my first meal there, and oh boy, was that an excellent decision. From the first bite to the last, this burger was absolutely delicious. It was perfectly cooked, juicy, and packed with flavor, with the Swiss cheese and earthy mushrooms creating a truly mouth-watering combination. It was, without a doubt, one of the best burgers I've had in a very long time – seriously, top-notch!
Beyond the incredible food, what truly made the visit special was the personal touch. I had the pleasure of chatting briefly with the owner, and she was incredibly nice, kind, and genuinely welcoming. Her warmth and passion for her diner clearly shine through, making the whole dining experience even more enjoyable.

Read moreFirst time at WanaBees Diner in Winnipeg, and I’ll definitely be back! Went with my cousins who are local, and now I understand why this place is a favorite.
The food is freshly cooked and full of flavor. I had the mushroom omelette with hashbrowns, and you can tell right away that the hashbrowns are made from scratch, not frozen or pre-packaged like most places. Everything tasted homemade and satisfying.
The coffee was hot, bold, and delicious, just the way diner coffee should be. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with that genuine diner charm that makes you want to sit and stay awhile.
The rest of the table ordered the “Usual” and were just as impressed. Service was friendly, and you can tell they care about their customers.
Highly recommend WanaBees if you’re looking for a great breakfast spot in Winnipeg. Fresh food, great coffee, and a warm atmosphere, you really can’t...
