Have been wanting to try The Naked Crepe for over a year. Have looked them up time and time again on their website to review their menu. Finally, my husband's schedule and mine gave us a morning where we could go down to Wolfville to try this delicious sounding place. We arrived and stood in the lobby as there were no seats available and were told that there wouldn't be a seat for at least a half an hour so we asked if we could sit outside. The waitress told us that wasn't a problem, asked us if we were going to have coffee and gave us menus. We sat there for a half an hour waiting for at least a beverage. Nothing came. The other group outside with us was served, paid for, and gone before we were even asked what we would like. The food looked delicious and smelled even better, but will unfortunately will be forever waiting to know what it tastes like. The waitress did not forget that we were there as she poked her head out through the door halfway through and looked at us, then went back inside. I would've loved to try this food as I haven't had a crepe in years but will not be returning. Instead I am now sitting in the King's Arms Pub and will spend my brunch here. Your loss, my husband and I always spend and tip well when we eat out. I plan to pass this along to all of my friends and colleagues as well. Signed a very unhappy, very...
Read moreThe eggs are hard, the hollandaise was split, the smoked salmon was over cooked, and I was overcharged for extra veggies.
We were super excited to come try crepes and both of us ordered a savoury crepe which included poached eggs. The server did not ask how we would like our eggs done. We assumed that poached would be runny. When we got our crepes the eggs were very hard poached. When we politely asked for new runny eggs on the side, the server told us we would have to pay for new ones, so we went without eggs.
The smoked salmon was cooked which we thought was strange (although the dill sauce was tasty)
The hollandaise sauce was split— chunky and greasy.
The fresh orange juice was our favourite part of the meal.
I paid our bill and then after looked at the receipt and noticed they charged me 3.00 for extra veggies when the menu says it will be 1.29. I did not want a refund but I mentioned the typo to the server who explained that it was because I wanted extra of all the veggies- the menu doesn’t say that and the server did not specify this during ordering. The math does not add up on this either.
Management should be more specific in their menu and give their servers better tools to make sure customers...
Read moreI gave this review 1 star as our waitress was polite. Other than that I was honestly so disappointed in the Naked Crepe. We decided to go to the new location in Windsor today for brunch as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. We ordered a coffee, a soft drink and a meal each. The drinks came promptly, but then we waited for about 30 minutes before realizing that the people who had come in after us and had received their meals before us. We weren’t in any hurry so just sat and chatted. When it got to 45 minutes we realised that we had been forgotten, despite sitting directly in front of the cash register. Upon asking our waitress “have you forgotten us” she then realised that she had totally forgotten our order, and in fact hadn’t even started cooking it. The waitress apologized. I said we’d just pay for the drinks as we weren’t going to wait any longer. When we went to pay, the owner (I’m assuming she was, sounded British) whispered sorry, and made zero effort to make the situation better) I would have expected as a gesture of goodwill for her to say for us not to worry about the $6 total for drinks but no she still charged us. Made no attempt to try and correct the bad service. Needless to say we...
