I've previously enjoyed coming here with my family. However, the last time we went here, there were just too many issues to ignore.
The play place has a large and small door to enter. The large door was locked. I told 2 different staff members and yet it was still locked when we were leaving over 30 minutes later.
There was a large spill on the floor by the drink machine. I told 3 different staff members within the first 15 minutes that I was there, and it still only got mopped up as we were leaving, about 30 minutes after the first time I told someone. Additionally, they only cleaned up the actual spill location, not all the sticky footprints that had spread the mess across almost the whole restaurant.
My young son wanted to play in the play place with his big sister. But I had to go in to help him a little. I knew I shouldn't expect perfectly clean surfaces. But the entire play structure was disgustingly grimy. I couldn't find a place to touch that didn't feel like I was sticking my hand in playdough mixed with ketchup and honey. My hand stuck to every surface.
And to top it off, both ketchup containers were completely empty so we got to eat our fries plain.
I'm guessing a lot of the problems were based on not having enough staff that day. But if that play structure is still that grimy next time we go there, we will likely just go to a different McDonalds when that's what we're craving in the future, or the BK down the street if we need the kids to burn some energy at an...
Read moreSo I used to work at a McDonald's out of a big city to give a little more perspective on this. So normally when I come to this location my coffee ends up not being stirred right and I gotta take my coffee back 1/3 times I come here already. This time though, the employees at this location were lazy and quite rude to me, particularly the manager.
I ordered an egg BLT through the drive-thru. My girlfriend was being indecisive at the drive through and the drive thru lady got impatient with my gf.
Then they didn't give me the egg for my egg BLT. They adamantly told me that they couldn't do bagles after 11. The problem being that I know that toasting a bagel is really a simple matter of pressing a button on the toaster. She told me that she was out of bagels which turned out to be a lie because she admitted to having some frozen afterwards. It was like 11:03 so I have a hard time believing that they didn't have at least one bagel on hand to toast even if it was a different kind.
When I pointed out to the manager that toasting the bagel was a simple matter of pressing a button on the machine she got livid with me. Given my previous experience at working at McDonald's I would say these workers are comparatively unskilled and rude compared to other locations. I recommend going to dundas street if you need McDonald's. They will make your food the same way and be less...
Read moreSurprisingly dirty!! Visited start of July 2025 for a lunch break along the HWY401. Stopped with the family (mom, dad, teen). Used the men's washroom first which had an overflowing urinal - super gross. That washroom should have been closed. I was ready to leave but my family had already started ordering. We STILL should have left. They reported the Women's washroom was disgusting as well. Surface on ordering kiosk was gross. While waiting for food the crew member waiting to put my order together was placing the cups for my drinks on his hands (like he was putting his hands in the cups like mitts or something?!?). I'm sure he has clean hands... but no thanks. New cups please. Dining room had food wrappers and garbage all over the floor. Just super disgusting - we were all turned off by that experience. I'm glad we didn't have a younger kid who wanted to use the playland. The only good thing I could say is that some of the workers seemed to be working very hard. AVOID...
