Since posting the review below, I contacted Arby's directly about my complaint. I then received in the mail a letter from the head office containing an apology, two 'free sandwich' discount cards, and a promise that the franchise in question would be notified about the problem. I returned last week. The coupon was accepted without any issues, and the music was significantly quieter. So I thank those responsible, and have adjusted my rating accordingly.
ORIGINAL REVIEW Music is annoyingly loud and can't be avoided. Meaning there are speakers everywhere, so you can't choose a table where it is quiet. The fact that I'm old and grumpy and the music (from Virgin FM) doesn't interest me is not the issue-- I'd have the same complaint if the music was more to my liking. Maybe it's all part of a strategy to keep people from lingering at the table for more than 10 minutes, or it's a strategy to make sure old people take their business elsewhere, in which case the strategy is probably working fine. But if not, it would be nice if management would reconsider their policy to make Arby's a considerably more welcoming...
Read moreInterestingly, there isn't any Arby's around GTA (as of Mar 2024). This was my first time trying Arby's and its location is nearby the St. Jacobs Farmers' Market. I know Arby's is most famous for its roast beef sandwiches but it's not really my thing. I tried the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, which was nothing special. The curly fries were cool, and I enjoyed dipping them in the exclusive "Arby's Sauce" and "Horsey Sauce". To me, Horsey wins. The sandwich was a decent size but came to be around $15 (with tax) which I thought was not very worth. The food was prepared fast but it was not wrapped well, lettuces were scattered outside and the sandwich was drenched in sauces. You can get a much more decent sandwich from Chick-fil-A or Subway at the same price.
The service was good. The environment was clean and comfortable. But I don't know how long this location can last. I came in at lunch hour on a weekday (with Farmers' Market opening). There was not a single person ordering food throughout, not to mention there is an A&W beside it as...
Read moreWhile shopping around at Walmart we got hungry and decided to stop by Arbys. We have been eating at this specific Arbys for years and out of the hundreds of times we’ve been there have never rlly been any complaints. Today we stopped by and got 2 curly fries + mozzarella sticks. The mozzarella sticks were fresh and hot, tasted amazing. The curly fries were burnt, old, stale, and had no seasoning or flavour to them at all. We ended up tossing the curly fries and making something else at home.
Besides the food, the drive thru service is horrible. We had two people yelling over eachother on the speaker. There was over 25 min to wait for our small order with Nobody in-front of us. When I went to pay the man at the window gave us a dirty look then shouted credit or debit a few times even though I had already told him it was debit. Once we paid there was still ANOTHER 15 minute wait for the food. Do not...
