Fatburger Yellowknife — Restaurant in Yellowknife

Edit: After waiting over 4 hours at the hospital and leaving due to incompetence, went to Fat Burger.

Ordered. 2x Impossible Burger, 2x fries. Fries overdone resulting in a lackluster effort. Time/ Date: 5 Jan 23, approximately 8:40 Local Time.

Poor food plus $$$ = only eat here when other restaurants are closed.

A few days ago, we ordered Fatburger (plant based burgers) and fries and enjoyed it quite a bit (3 -4 stars).

Two days later, we ordered again from Fatburger, and did not receive what we ordered. What we ordered plant based burgers and instead received stomach upset and betrayal.

My wife and I have not eaten meat in many months ( due to a forced change in diet), and we ate these burgers thinking they were the same delicious (plant based burgers)we had the day before. We were mistaken and were so very hungry that we finished our burgers not know the consequences.

The burgers were not the plant based burgers we ordered and they contained meat.

We were basically poisoned. There is no easy way to distinguish what you ordered from what you recieved. As such neither this location nor the entire chain will ever receive our business.

If you are like me (Plantatarian), or Vegan and crave a plant based burger, I suggest you make your own. Google The Burger Dude, and follow the recipes.

Trust is easily given, and near impossible to earn back...

A little underwhelming as far as Fatburger goes. Since Fatburger is meant to be your old-school burger joint usually the cashier shouts "Fatburger" when you order and the cooks shout it back. However pretty much every time I've been there the cook's response is barely audible so the """Fatburger experience""" is missed. Kind of makes eating here a little underwhelming, just another restaurant rather than a fun throwback. The food is really good, probably the best tasting fast casual beef burger you can get in YK. It's pretty pricey though and the Stanton Plaza can be a nightmare for parking plus some bothersome folks hanging out at the pub can lead to unwanted social situations. I once got a burger to go and they missed my mushrooms which is a premium topping so I spent an extra buck for nothing. Really annoying and should not happen at an expensive, well known franchise. I'm not going to take the time to unwrap my burger at the store when I want to take it home. It seems like the staff does not care very much about...

I've only been a handful of times to a Fatburger, in Winnipeg and Regina. I thought I'd visit this one while in town. The service could have used a little more smiling and pep. It s busy and there was sign apologizing for the delay in service due to understaffing. I'm fine with slower service as long as I'm left with a smile. The food was ok (found a small piece of bone in my patty, but that's the nature of the thing and can happen) and the curly fries, which I got seasoned with traditional seasoning) were way overseasoned... The fountain soda machine is out of order, but I must admit, that's the best bottled Diet Coke I've ever had! Not sure if they change the recipe in NWT, but it's not as "spicy" as anywhere else.
