Hello I would love to say I was in the Cayman Islands seven years ago I had an all you can eat lobster restaurant called deckers. I called to inquire as I was traveling to the Cayman Islands again and found out the new place is Abacus for the all you can eat lobster. I would love to say the place is outstanding right in the heart of Camana Bay with a huge outside patio and a live band. I made reservations from home in New Jersey for my first day of arrival on Saturday night Chris Manager was outstanding he quickly placed me dead center in front of the band outside for the best ambience and setting. I am a big eater as this was one of the main purposes For my reservation. I ended up eating 20 lobster tails and the restaurant had no problem in serving me so I highly recommend anyone looking for outstanding Caribbean lobster all you can eat this is definitely the place to go.
Thank you...
Read moreAmazing place! Was our last day on the island & it had been pouring rain the past 2 days, so needless to say we needed some kind of pick me up. I made the suggestion to go into Camana Bay because i had seen the pictures in line at customs when we arrived & did a bit of research of the new budding area on line.
For whatever reason it stopped raining as soon as we arrived at Abacus. was about 3pm so the dinner area had not opened up. The Manager (maybe owner?) greeted us and let us sit and eat at the bar... the food was EXCELLENT! The drinks were ON POINT! The music was even GREAT!
The area was kind of dead because of the rain, but a clear friday night, with all the live music they normally play in the area... Abacus is the spot you want to be at for great food and cool people!!
FYI: The area is a little more pricey than other options on the island, but you get what you pay...
Read moreFood was mostly good. Came on a Saturday for lobster all you can eat. Good portion- you start with 4 tails. But they were overcooked. My husband had the sirloin and truffle potatoes, which were good. My son had the skirt steak and asparagus. He said the meat was over peppered. My daughter had the pork belly which was good. The worst thing was the service. We waited almost 45 minutes for our meal. In the meantime a couple had come in after us and they were seated, ate and on dessert by the time we got our food. The waitress eventually came to check on us to see if I wanted more lobster. I did not and she promptly left without offering us more water for our empty glasses or clearing our plates. Eventually a manager came and wrapped things up for us. I would’ve loved to try dessert but we were ready to leave...
