This was my 2nd time to try Cimboco. The 1st time I had a mediocre experience, but this time around, I really enjoyed it. The atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming, the staff was attentive & helpful, and the food was tasty and quite a large quantity. I started off by ordering a double espresso, which came out larger than expected. A lot of places on island give you a single shot, for a small, when in reality, it should be 2 shots of espresso. Here, the single was the 2 shots & double being 4. They did well on the start. Then, I ordered the ham & cheese omlette with additional onions and mushrooms. The food came out quick and was accompanied by seasoned potatoes & toast. The omlette was hot and delicious, and while the potatoes were seasoned well, they came out room temperature. I later noticed a container of potatoes sitting above the grill that were pre-cooked. The toast was also tasty, but had no accompanied jelly or butter, I had to request those specifically. I noticed another customer having to do the same. An improvement could be to have the servers ask if you would like some, or just included it whenever a customer receoved toast woth theor food. One thing I was impressed by was the in-house made scotch bonnet hot sauce (also upon request). It was hot and had a great flavor. Overall, I'd say it was a great experience and a reasonable price for the amount of food you get, plus it was pretty tasty. I'll be heading back there again. I wonder if lunch and dinner will offer the same...

I read a review that they had great pecan pie so I headed over to treat myself, with high hopes. They heated it up which was nice, but that's where it ended. It was served to me in a paper box with the ice cream in a plastic cup, and a plastic fork, even though I made it clear I was eating it there. I escorted myself to a table, still optimistic because of the great review I'd read. What a let down. I couldn't eat the whole thing, wasn't worth the calories. The crust was like cardboard with no flakiness, the filling was gelatinous and gross. I ended up picking the pecans off the top (which were good at least), scraping off the crust and eating the non-soggy outer portions, tossed the rest. By the way, the crappy plastic fork broke and I ended up eating it with my hands. I didn't even deserve a real fork. Didn't ask if I wanted water until I had handed them by trash and was headed out the door. So between all that and the cardboard box delivery, a 1-star for service. Writing this so people have reasonable expectations. ...

Wife and I stopped by this place after visiting Pedro St. James. This is a good Italian place that also had gluten free options which we needed for my wife’s Celiac. The wait staff seemed to have pretty good knowledge about gluten and told my wife what she could and could not have. She had a pizza which she liked ok but thought a bit too much cheese. I had the Pesto Pennie with chicken, and it was very good. Nice clean place with air conditioning and very good service. We ate there for about $40US per person which included a couple adult drinks and tip. Note all prices were in Cayman dollars. As of this writing the exchange was $1CI = $1.25US. Thus, you will pay more than the menu prices if you pay in US dollars. Also note that most places in the Caymans add a gratuity of around 15% which is shared among the entire staff. You then can add or not depending on your situation to be given directly to...

I like going for the weekend brunch to get a choice of breakfast whether you prefer English, Jamaican, Caymanian, or American breakfast there's a little of all. Jamaican saltfish with a side of fresh Cayman fruit yes they have that. On the weekend of course get here early to be seated Cool yet sunny outside breakfast Started with fresh squeezed lemonade and coffee. 5 for $5 breakfast is an egg, toast, fruit, roasted potatoes, bacon. "Spice up your life" frittata had minimal jerk chicken or uniquness but was flavorful, filling, and satisfying. I can't eat bread so they replaced it with four slices of tomato. Uniqueness was a mango jelly, mayonnaise for the potatoes, as well as a sauce that was like a marinara with scotch bonnet to spice it up a little. The waitress was Filipino and provided prompt service at nearly a run
