Took my wife here for breakfast while on vacation. We were able to get a table right away, but were offered a table more away from the foot traffic and decided to move. This table was still close to the door and due to not having an A/C unit on the door, we would get what can only be described as hot flashes every time someone walked in. Then there were the people that were born in a barn and didn't know you close a door behind you when entering an establishment. One server took our drink order and another food, but the first server forgot to bring us our drinks and after 15 minutes, I went to the counter to ask for them. It took another 5 minutes to arrive, but they did not charge us for them due to the inconvenience. The food was good, but the sausage seemed a bit undercooked. Prices were better than most places and they had desserts that looked good, but we did not partake. They do have a mandatory 15% tip, which to me is wrong. Don't misunderstand me, I will tip 15% or more, if the service was above par, but if it is not, they expect you to embarass yourself to dispute it. My main concern for this place is the lack of native workers, which seems common place in vacation destinations, but no matter how you cut it or try to explain it...
Read moreThis is mostly a bakery cafe. I came for the free password free wifi which is very rare on island. Most free WiFi requires a password. Since I was using their WiFi I thought go ahead and see what they have. Just had the best tiramisu which was served with marshmallow fluff. They have so many different flavors of cheesecake and cakes (over 30) in the case. Since it is mid day I decided to have the catch of the day but come to find out they were out of snapper so I settled for wahoo blackened with cayman style sauce and rice. The rice was made perfect and flavored with good quality butter. Came with vegetables (zucchini, broccoli, squash, carrots and parsley ) which was very fresh barely cooked with Italian seasoning, while the fish was fresh , grilled and covered cayman style with a tomatoes sauce and fresh green onion. For a cafe this is a high quality lunch which although served on a paper plate for 15$ you would pay upwards of 30$ to have served on china in a...
Read moreNot sure why so many great reviews. I’m not a picky person but the food was well below average.
DO NOT order a smoked salmon bagel! Their idea of smoked salmon is drastically different from most and even looks nothing like their menu picture. It appeared to be some sort of baked salmon. I asked the waitress and she confirmed what I received was correct. Even after she came over and questioned why I didn’t eat the salmon and I explained “this isn’t what I was expecting” it was not removed from the bill.
Their hash browns were dry and reheated. No flavor, even after adding some salt.
I’d look elsewhere...
