Went and got the half chicken with sweet potatoes, rice pilaf and summer salad.
The chicken isn't anything to write home about. I've read the other reviews and I had high hopes and was let down. The chicken here is okay, just regular chicken really. Not superb seasoning here. I think depends on what type of chicken you're used to. If you don't really season your chicken then this may taste wonderful, otherwise you'll be let down if you read these other reviews.
Got the lemonade to drink. It's made from scratch but that's it. I've had better lemonade plenty of other places so nothing special here either.
The sides were all pedestrian. It came with a lemon rosemary juice that is heavy on the lemon! Be careful not to pour too much!
Inside is small but we went it wasn't packed so we got a seat.
All in all, this isn't a place you have to hit on the island I'd say if you're from America. Maybe of you're from somewhere where eating chicken is common then maybe you can hit this...
Read moreThe wife and I ate at the seven mile beach location and was very pleased. We stopped by before a snorkel trip for lunch and found several locals, which is always a good sign. My wife is gluten free due to Celiac and was able to eat there without any issues. The service was good and communications good enough to get the gluten request conveyed. I had roasted chicken with potatoes and coleslaw…very good and would go back in a heart beat. We ate there for about $20US per person. Note all prices were in Cayman dollars. As of this writing the exchange was $1CI = $1.25US. Thus, you will pay more than the menu prices if you pay in US dollars. Also note that most places in the Caymans add a gratuity of around 15% which is shared among the entire staff. You then can add or not depending on your situation to be given directly to...
Read moreDespite the numerous wild chickens around the island, it's a pleasure watching the birds on the menu on the large, wood fired rotisserie. There is, of course, chicken, but also a dizzying array of side dishes, desserts and beverages. The drinks include local beer, Caybrew and Caybrew Light. Indoor dining is an option but most folks stick to take out. Masks are required. Sanitizer is provided. Delivery is an option through the local service. The staff are polite and efficient. Orders can be placed in advice by phone. The menu of sides is available online but call for the...
