Fun and Yum in Cayman! 🥳 Picture this: a balmy Grand Cayman evening, the ocean breeze whispering through the palms, and me, stumbling into a new culinary treasure chest Chinese restaurant. I knew I was in for a treat the moment I walked in—the ambience was a cozy hug of modern chic, with lighting so perfect I felt like I’d stepped into a foodie’s daydream. The staff? Stellar doesn’t even cover it. They anticipated my every request with smiles. The food—oh the food I started with the small bites. The bang bang shrimp? Explosive little flavor bombs—crisp, juicy, and saucy enough to make me want to high-five the chef. And the bao buns? Pillowy clouds of perfection, stuffed with goodness that had me whispering, “Why haven’t I been eating these every day of my life?” For the main event, the Mongolian beef with broccoli swaggered onto the scene—tender, savory beef tangled up with crisp green florets in a sauce so bold it could star in an action movie. The sweet and sour chicken wasn’t far behind, strutting its stuff with that classic tangy-sweet groove, crispy on the outside, juicy within—a total crowd-pleaser.
I finished with the Hong Kong coconut French toast, and let me tell you, it was a tropical party in my mouth. Imagine golden, love toast shimmying with coconut vibes so dreamy, I half-expected it to come with a tiny umbrella. Pair that with the apple pie spring roll—a crispy, hug of warm, spiced apples wrapped in a flaky shell that’s basically dessert’s answer to a plot twist. I was hooked. Of course. I shared all this food with my date and a take home box!
By the end, I was full, happy, and plotting my next visit. This place isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a flavor vacation with a first-class ticket to satisfaction. If you’re in Grand Cayman, do yourself a favor: dive into this deliciousness. You’ll leave with a happy belly and a grin as wide as the Seven Mile...

During my recent visit to Grand Cayman, I had the pleasure of dining at Liu Chinese Kitchen, and I have to say, it was an absolute delight. As someone who’s enjoyed Chinese cuisine all over the world — from Shanghai, Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, London, Manchester, Birmingham, Devon, and Toronto — I can confidently say this restaurant rates among the very best.
The Mongolian Beef was perfectly tender, rich, and flavourful with just the right balance of savoury and sweet. The Sweet & Sour Chicken was a nostalgic delight — crispy, succulent, and coated in a vibrant sauce that hit all the right notes. The Vegetable Fried Rice was cooked to perfection, packed with fresh vegetables and carrying that distinct, comforting wok-fried flavour. And to top it all off, the Apple Spring Rolls were a revelation — crisp, golden pastry encasing warm, cinnamon-spiced apple filling that left me wanting more.
The atmosphere was calm and welcoming, a lovely relaxed ambience that made me feel at ease from the moment I stepped in. The staff were wonderfully attentive, striking that perfect balance between being helpful and giving space to enjoy the meal.
What makes Liu Chinese Kitchen even better is that it’s incredibly economical for the quality of food served. It’s rare to find a place where every dish feels thoughtfully prepared, bursting with flavour, and presented with genuine care.
If you love Chinese food, Liu Chinese Kitchen is a must-visit. It may not be in the hustle and bustle of a big city, but it holds its own against some of the best Chinese food I’ve had around the globe. I’ll definitely...

The drinks served promptly & tastes refreshing, I had the lychee mocktail (highly recommended). The food was delectable everything we ordered was so satisfying (Dumpling, Bangbang Shrimp & Sweet & sour chicken). We also tasted the Mandarin Salad it was truly appetizing. The grand finale desserts were top notch. The Manager on duty Sheena was the highlight of our dinner, she looked after not only our table but she made sure all the guests in their restaurant were looked after, I can see the restaurant was full there was a group of long table who seemed to have a great time too. I can’t wait to come back & try the rest of the dishes...
