I was hesitant to do this review, but I think sometimes as locals, we allow and brush off bad customer service all too often. My group of girl friends decided to have our quarterly brunch as we always do since covid at seven. We know most of the servers who have always been good to us and always greeted us warmly and Ms. Yvonne, who is Marvelous at knowing what we like on our omelets. However, today, we came in and arrived at the restaurant at 10:00 . Several people greeted us and told us they were working on seating. Only to notice that they were outside doing other things other than what they promised. They asked if you were staying at the hotel, and we said no, not realizing that this determines if we would be seated dinning or not. Every other person that came after us was seated while we had no knowledge of whether we would be accompanied or not. About 10:15, another person came to ask if we were being taken care of. I said no. This continued for about 30 minutes until I got frustrated as no came back to give an update. I spoke to one of the servers who knows that we have been regularly visiting the establishment. 10:45 we after expressing our displeasure we were seated and told by the hostess that they would accommodate us as they had us waiting g so long. I was so hungry at this time in the line to get an omelet only to hear that the manager on duty was upset and speaking rudley about us. I spoke to the rest of the party, and they advised that they would like to leave due to the low-budget customer service we were experiencing. Of course, I left with everyone but decided to address the situation as all to often we let it slide by taking the high road. I, too, have been trained on customer service and worked in the hospitality industry for years. So I say this please train your employees properly because covid was not that long ago, and it is us the locals that helped to balance everything for your establishment when nothing was going on here on the island. Yes, I left because I work very hard and my money isn't funny. While you're catering to others who you're not even sure of and can and will dispute their charges, mine is sure. Do better, treat everyone fairly, and as you would like to be treated. This review is only to address your hostess and your manager and supervisors because your line staff is phenomenal. Instead of hiring these disrespectful individuals, I suggest promoting your line staff that know how to treat their repeating...
Read moreFrom the moment we sat down at Seven, the premier restaurant at the Ritz Carlton, Grand Cayman, we knew our breakfast experience would be exceptional. Opting for the Seven Mile Breakfast Buffet, we were greeted with an array of both international and local culinary delights that catered to a diverse palate.
The buffet spread was extensive and meticulously presented. The selection of hot items, from organic eggs and omelets made to order to traditional Ackee and Saltfish, encapsulated the spirit of the island while offering familiar comforts. Each dish was fresh and flavorful, speaking volumes about the quality of ingredients sourced by the Ritz-Carlton.
Not only did the buffet offer hot items, but the cold selections were just as impressive. The assorted charcuterie boards and the smoked salmon with capers were a hit for those who appreciate a savory start to the day, while the fresh fruit bowls offered a refreshing option for a lighter appetite.
For health-conscious guests, the menu did not disappoint. Options like the Green Vegan Power Bowl and the house-made granola showcased the kitchen's ability to cater to modern dietary preferences without compromising on taste.
The culinary team deserves praise for their attention to detail and the ability to maintain the highest standards even when catering to a buffet setting.
