La Maga Uruguayan Steakhouse — Restaurant in Pucón

Had a lovely meal here yesterday with a very pleasant waitress. Well done steak and buttered potatoes. Because we liked it so much we went back again tonight, however a completely different experience. We asked for wifi like the day before and was told no they don't have any! This different waitress shrugged her shoulders in a huff and gave us her phone to look at the menu. Why don't restaurants in Chile gave normal printed menus!!!!!!!! Not all tourists can afford to pay for data when away, it's very expensive. Then she got our order wrong. Chips instead of buttered potatoes and we were told no we couldn't have our steaks well done. Only medium. They were too red with blood. Couldn't eat the full meal. Extremely dissapointed after having such a lovely meal the day before. So unfortunatly i would say avoid...

Great attentive service!. Visiting ftom NY on honeymoon.. The food was top quality. Perfect spot for any situation.. Date, friends, coworkers.. There are too many good options, it is hard to choose. We had the grilled provolone with mushrooms and sausage for the appetizer. Both- fantastic.. I don't typically eat sausage ( in the U.S. anyway) and i loved how they seasoned the meat. I was left really disappointed. A lot of people had told me about this place and it did not live up to the expectation. The staff were lovely, friendly and helpful but the food was not to the level the prices demand. The starters were good. Tasty and well delivered. Our steaks were not to the expected standard. As you can see from the photo the sear on the meat is very poor especially as it’s cooked on wood fire grill.
