Hostal La Maison — Hotel in Pucón

How nice and comfortable is to stay at Hostal La Maison! Pucón was so crowded, it seems like everybody comes to this place, because this hostel is not located in the center of this little city. Hostal La Maison IS the center of Pucón! And there is a reason for this, the owner explained us, back in the days Pucón was only 2.000 people (30.000 now) this spot was where the few tourists came on those days. So everything was built around this exclusive blocks.||Walk a few yards and you'll be swimming at the lake, want a good restaurant? The best ones are not even a block away.||||The rooms are pretty comfortable, the house as a beautiful garden, and it "still" remains the cheapest place to sleep in this exclusive part of the city, where you'll only find expensive hotels. The location is excellent. Its central but in a quiet street. Its what i would call pokey but others might say cozy. The mattress in my room was really uncomfortable. The floorboards were really creaky so upstairs occupants coming back later than us or getting up earlier than us seemed really noisy. The place was not very clean and the kitchen was cramped and stale smelling. There weren't enough toilets downstairs as i had to wait to use the bathroom on several occasions. It was peak season so may be less crowded off peak. There was an outside loo but that definitely wasn't clean. There is a garden area but if you sit out it means you are sitting on top of the washing line. The owner is nice enough and some might say friendly but i found him intrusive and he had many rules you...

My girlfriend and I were lucky enough to stumble across this hostel upon our arrival to Pucon, and we are SO pleased we did.||The rooms were spacious and the bed was super comfortable. The hostel was immaculately kept, with a beautiful garden space to catch the sun and a lovely rustic style living area to spend the evenings. ||Etienne was the most accommodating host we have ever met.
