My son took me here on my first day in Beijing because it was close to his flat, and because he is vegetarian. This is a great place for anyone who doesn't speak Mandarin as the restaurant is in English and the waiters speak some English too. Places with only Mandarin on the menu are challenging, to say the least.So I returned there at least twice during my stay as I could sit there, eat or have a coffee and read without feeling rushed. It's also down one of the nicest hutongs full of little places to eat and little shops. They have a nice selection of veggie food - we had the pita bread platter and I also had a mushroom burger - which was a little dry but tasty.
