A Michelin guide restaurant. We visited the one in the Tee Mall located right at the beginning of Beijing Lu.
Though the place was busy at past 4pm, we were seated immediately. We were initially asked to order via the Mei Tuan or Dian Ping app. But we had weak mobile reception in the restaurant and app couldn’t load. There were many foreigners dining there and we caught a glimpse of a paper menu. Since we had bad WIGO connection, we requested for the paper menu from a waitress. The service is good.
Every dish was well presented and delicious. It was a wonderful meal with reasonable prices.
While the service if good, it would be a much better experience for English-speaking tourists if the restaurant’s staff understand and speak English. Read moreA very busy and popular Chinese dining restaurant in Guangzhou with many branches scattered all around. My local friend introduced it to me and I was truly thankful for that.
We managed to get a table even during the lunch time crowd and I was surprise that the restaurant was actually pretty packed with diners. Left the ordering to my friend and all of the dishes were outstanding. Special mention of the roast goose which was the best tasting one I ever had in my life, even better than the ones from the famous restaurant in Hong Kong.
The amazing food was equally matched with outstanding services rendered in which our cups of tea were always kept full.
My friend picked up the bill and I had no idea about the pricing but I honestly think that the quality ingredients and outstanding taste would make the prices worthwhile.
I have recommended my friends to try this chain of restaurant whenever they are...
Read moreService is no good. We ordered the chicken fried rice and checked with waitress's lead if it contains any seafood. The reply is no, only chicken. Then when the fired rice was served we found some meat looks like prawn but not clear as was coated with eggs. Then we reconfirmed with waitress and after 2nd check, we were ensure that no prawn added to fried rice. We need the Confirmation as my mum is alleged to seafood due to health. Half way eating we discovered more like prawn meat in the rice, we stopped eating and picked out those meat aside showed to the waitress lead. Then she went to kitchen and check with chelf and came back confirmed chelf did add prawn meat. That's it, no apology, no replacement and still charged us full price. Supper disappointed with the service. Although the restaurant is over 100 years and don't think can go further if continue...
