I stayed in this hotel from 18 October to 21 October 2018. Reasons for booking is mainly because of the central location and easy access to metro and shopping malls.||||Before arrival, I received a notification from Booking.com that the hotel was unable to charge the first night due to credit card number issues. And I rekeyed in the number to confirm the booking. I found out on my last day, a similar traveller has encountered the same issue but she did not rekey in the number. They still retain the hotel booking for her though.||||I think it is better not to rekey the visa number as they charged me for the first night although I paid in full using cash. They also took the receipt away of the payment when they refunded me the 200 RMB cash. Luckily I took a photo and am waiting for my bank to revert on the issue. The hotel told me they will refund the charge when I checked out on the last day, I don't believe them due the unpleasant encounter with them.||||They overbooked the rooms and gave our room away and lied to us about it.||||We booked a stay of 3 nights We actually arrived at 8.30 am on 18 October but check in can only be at 2 pm. When we returned at 6 pm. They cannot find our booking. The female supervisor then told us that we need to shift to another room the next day as the room today has been reserved ages ago by another customer.. ||||She said the customer insisted on staying in this particular room and he is a regular customer who had paid up in advance. And there is no more room that night so we have to take that room and they made us paid up for our 3 nights stay immediately. ||||I frankly don't believe what the supervisor said. Especially when I entered into the room. It was not clean. The basin has several cracked lines The toilet bowl had cracked at the handle and they used tape to tape it.||||I found out the truth the next morning. They have overbooked their rooms and the room they gave us belongs to another hotel. This is through the morning staff when I asked him. He was very honest. ||||However the other hotel has better decor, mattress and higher quality bedspreads and sheets The room number is 1620.The standard of the room was much better. ||||Went into the room that they gave us the next day - 1405. They said they upgraded our room. To me this room is worse than the other hotel. It next to a construction site and the noise is a big issue. The room is only slightly cleaner than the room on the first night. The room is really in need of a new decor and renovation. ||||Those areas we can see is clean. Those we can't see on sight is filthy. I killed 2 cockroaches when we checked in. The floor underneath the beds were choked with a layer of dust and I saw a few dead cockroaches there. The towels in the toilet reeked of heavy cigarette smell and there are holes in one of the towels. The toilet was not working when we check into the room. A plumber was sent to repair it later.The bathroom door cannot be closed. They replaced with new fluffy towels the next day after I feedback to booking.com. The toilet door cannot be closed as well,||||There is a queen size bed and a single bed in the room, the mattress of the queen size bed is as hard as wood. The furniture is very dated and the laminated flooring was also in bad condition. There is really no maintenance on the room||||Horrible experience. I will not recommend staying this hotel. Talked to a local and she told me we should not have stayed at Beijing Lu Area. Another traveller told me they stayed at Zhongshan area and it is an apartment and the level of cleanliness was there.||||The only advantage in staying in this hotel was it was a short walk to the Beijing Road Metro station. The only saving grace is the nice young chap on the morning shift, He is very attentive to the customers and always went to the extra mile, but he was scolded by his supervisor. ||||It totally negative value for money we paid about RMB$1142 - $234 sgd for 3 nights. Read moreI had a 4 day booking at this hotel. Check in is on the 18th floor. The pictures advertised are definitely not what the hotel looks like. The walls have not been painted in ages, the passages looks like something out of a horror movie. I booked a single room apartment, however they bungled up my booking and I landed up with a 3 sleeper room.||||The furniture in the room is disgusting, the shower had mould and mildew that probably was never washed since forever. The bathroom smells horrible. The TV has no remote. The bedding has never been changed. The fridge is beyond usable. And the door is paper thin. ||||There was a leaflet advertising 'massage' services in the room. ||||My heart sank when I actually seen this hotel. In total, I stayed 2 hours while I desperately searched for another hotel. And fortunately I managed to find something else. ||||I was only refunded for 3 days, even though I didn't even spend a day in this room, to which I felt was unfair as I was mislead and lied to.Their policy states that there is free cancellation until 5pm. The staff are extremely rude and don't care. Whilst I was in the 'reception' area, a few unfortunate souls who stayed in this dump came to complain that there was no water in their rooms. Reception replied 'no water in building, coming back at 10pm' (this was at 3pm). ||||I can most definitely say that there is an army of cokaroaches/ rodents and other infestations in this building. ||||Please, for the love of everything that is good, DO NOT BOOK ANY 'HOTEL' that is in this building or has this address. Although suspicious, because of tight bookings during the holiday, agreed to follow. The room assigned on 30th floor was very bad. Plenty of accessories but parts broken, non functional. Shower drain slow and overflowed into the toilet area. Toilet sprayer attached to clothes washer. Cabinets and shelves needed simple wiping of dust. Second day requested a change. Given room next door which was brighter and much better bath area. However, strange furniture, no appliances and worst, no place to hang clothing or towels anywhere, not even a single hook.
