Just had an amazing stay at the Mercure Hotel (newly opened in July, it was formerly Lido hotel) for 4 nights in a Deluxe room with 2 single beds. The hotel staff was incredibly kind and accommodating, as there were three of us staying together. They pushed both beds together and it fit us just fine. One of the most impressive features of the room was the excellent soundproofing, despite the fact that the floor was not fully carpeted. It made for a truly peaceful and restful stay. The room itself was spotlessly clean and spacious, providing us with the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring. We were pleased to discover that the hotel offers complimentary drinks at the Lobby, adding an extra touch of hospitality to our stay. Plus, the location couldn't have been more perfect! Situated right in the heart of Beijing Road Pedestrian street, we were able to easily access all the attractions and restaurants in the area. One quirky highlight of our stay was the robot that delivered take away orders to our hotel room. It was not only a convenient service but also added an element of fun to our experience. In sum, our stay at the Mercure Hotel exceeded all expectations. We couldn't find a single fault, and we highly recommend it to anyone...

Receptionist staff (Alan Tan) is rude and not even helpful when we told them our room not even clean or ready after we walk up to our room 2 times. they don't even bother to check and informed us the room status. Check in process is like takes more than 20 mins and end up room is still not ready.
We also saw Receptionist staffs and supervisor shouting at the guests and not friendly to other guests while we are waiting at lobby.

Read moreRebranded as Mercure Hotel (not part of Accor Group), this hotel is fantastic in terms of location, facilities and price. Smack in the middle Beijing Road Pedestrian Street which boasts shopping from the hippest to the cheapest, food galore from traditional Wantan Noodles to avant garde fusion, this is the place you want to be staying. Easily 6 Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurants within a 1 km radius. Even past midnight, there are still supper options nearby. Subway is a less than two hundred meters away and mostly sheltered.
And when you think it will be so noisy, I was surprised that the sound from the streets is not audible. Must be the thick double glazed windows and curtains and the heavy doors of the room.
There’s a laundry room for you to use FOC although I didn’t use it. Very useful after 10 days in the road. Must try the next time.
