Costumers service is bad! I have gone to this place many times because is near to where I stay, but if wasn’t for this i wouldn’t move to go. In the times I have ate here they have forget my order. Once I waited for over an hr because the forgot my order no just one but twice that time, due to the amount of crowd you literally have to be chasing the waiters… and said I was not going back when I realized the charge for napkins!!!!! I have never been in a place where I have been charged for it even in poor and very small restaurants. It’s just 2 yuans but just put regular ones or make well numbers so you don’t have to put in the bill! After that experience…I read one side of the paper of the menu because they don’t tell you. Sneaky! So today I brought my own napkins that my hotel puts in my room for FREE!!!didn’t drink the tea they put on the table on purpose… just had the juice i order and the food and at checkout they wanted to charge me around 10 yuans, then I correct them and ask them why. Guess for them was unbelievable I didn’t drink their tea which I don’t like btw and didn’t used their napkins. So be aware and check your bill and ask where the numbers come from. Is not the cost of the napkins because is 2 yuans but they should be free at any restaurant!!!!!! This is part of your cost when running a business. ...
Read moreThis is namely the most happening Vietnamese restaurant in Guangzhou. I was very curious so I made the trip out there to Yuexiu’s busy dining district. It was 5:30 pm on a weekday and there were crowds there waiting in line. When I looked at the menu I found it slightly overwhelming, as it does present many kinds of cuisine including Thai and Chinese. I wanted Vietnamese so I ordered Vietnamese spring roll, lemongrass eel and a wok fried veggie. The spring rolls were the most disappointing because it was very much over-fried. However the generous provision of perilla leaves and mint was a saving grace. It didn’t turn out too badly when I wrapped everything into my mouth. The fried veggies was very good, and the lemongrass eel was also very flavourful. Too much food for one so I packed some home. The interior of the restaurant is also cool. They do expect you to return the table in 1.5 hours, but...
Read moreVisited Tiger Prawn during my trip to Guangzhou this past month. The place is extremely crowded. Arrive early or be ready to wait at least an hour. We finished our dinner at 9pm or so, and people were still waiting for a table outside. Here's my summary review of Tiger Prawn.
Place : As I've states the place is not very big for the number of crowd they attract. Hence arrive early and be ready to wait. The location itself or right neat Beijing Lu
Cleanliness : Reasonably clean given the number of patrons frequenting this place.
Food : The food is GREAT. I do not remember the specific items we ordered, but we had fried pork ribs, steam fish, their famous prawns, and some stir-fried veggies. All of them were delicious. With portion aplenty, it makes this place a certified WIN.
Overall: 8 / 10. Other than the waiting, this place is a WIN, a must-go if...
