I recently dined at Kam Fai and unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing.

First and foremost, the portion sizes were surprisingly small. For the price we paid, I expected much more on our plates. It left us feeling underwhelmed and hungry even after our meal.

Additionally, the service was far from satisfactory. The staff seemed indifferent and unhelpful. When we placed our orders, there was a noticeable lack of attention; it felt as though we were an afterthought. This was in stark contrast to the initial greeting we received, which was warm and inviting, but the quality of service rapidly declined thereafter.

Overall, I would not recommend Kam Fai due to the small portions and poor service. There are certainly better seafood...

(as at 2025) We've been to this restaurant a few times in the last 20 years or so. We always ordered meal set. They charged from $200 per head the first time we came, to $238 a couple years back. Now they are charging $200 a person again, looks like biz isn't that great recently. Food quality was good, as expected, but you might want to add one or two more dishes as the "standard" portion is on the low side. Compared with the big ones on the main street, this seafood restaurant is small, even crampy. Word of advice, if you are taking your parents in-law to Sai Kung, I suggest you to take them to the "big one" a hundred metres away, where you'll find a better view with only slightly higher per head prices for their...

The food was really good and I particularly loved the mantis shrimp with chilli. It was so fresh, so tasty! We did get a few dishes between 5 of us and the good thing was that if you didn’t finish it, there was a takeaway bag they give you. So don’t need to worry about wasting! The only downfall for me would be the tables. It felt like flies were biting my legs as we sat outside. Inside was an option but the only table left was by the toilets which I didn’t want.
