This is one of the best Chiu Chow ( Teochew) Beef noodles shops in HK. In terms of how good the food taste, I will give it a 5 star rating. But what brought the ratings down a little is that the place is rather small and tables are cramped together. Very typical of a traditional HK style set up....To squeeze as many tables as they can to maximize profits. While the environment is not ideal, because the good quality is excellent, there is always a queue there. So be prepared to wait for some time to get a seat. The place is very local and may be be a challenge for tourists who may not speak cantonese. But ordering off the English menu would be fine. I used to eat here 2-3 times a week but not anymore. The quality of noodles is not fresh, the soup only luke warm and portion is extremely small. Most important the waitresses so rude and insisted leaving many empty seats for potential customers requiring 5 customers with big order sharing a small table crammed with other customers making it no space to use chopsticks at all. The beef brisket here is soooo tender and savory! The broth simmers all day and is an explosion of flavor. Reminds me of my moms cooking—how terrible it was compared to this 😆 Their wonton is legit, with real shrimp and bursting with filling. Their beef and wonton noods is my go-to comfort food. When I order I’ll just say “same-same” and they know what I mean. They deserve a Michelin star.
