Formerly only an attachment of a Chinese Clinic/Pharmacies two blocks back on the quiet street, they obviously gained its fame and then moved to this more prominent spot on the main street.

This shop serves dessert famous for its taro ball (taro grinded into paste then shape up into small balls about 1/4 inch diameter size).

This is a kind of dessert popular in Taiwan nowadays, and is diffferent from the traditional Cantonese dessert nor the nowadays dessert shops serving merely mixed fruits, syrup and ice.

Reasonable price, delicately prepared.

Usually a bit of wait outside shop, longer wait on holidays. Street parking widely available. Cash only , maybe Octopus...

Only been there once. We ordered #1(仙草百配), #7(椰汁紅豆沙), #12(西米露) Taro ball, sweet potato ball was ok, just not chewy enough. #1, #7 were way too sweet for me and my mum. Bought a bottle of water in seven eleven right away when we get out. #12 was not chill enough.

Better come in 2 people instead of 4 people. The manager gives away a four people table to other pairs instead of us. If we were not asking. We would have been waited for ever. (was the first group of 4 waiting, #6, at the end, we could only get the table that the manager originally wanted to assign to a group of 3 with #12).

Would definitely go to other dessert place in sham Shui po....

Charming little dessert in the heart of Sham Shui Po. The walls are adorned with photos of old Hong Kong, giving you an idea of how life was like back Sham Shui Po in the 50s and 60s.

We had their most famous dessert (Item no.1 on their menu) and item (6), a dessert made from soy and tofu. Both were decently good. The chewy mini dumplings were nice, tho the chewing got a little tiring after awhile.

There was a queue but the wait wasn't long. The manager was kind and nice. There were many people in the store and the waiters were not attentive but it's ok.. the food came very fast and we had one typical mix(hot)and a coconut sago mix (cold). Both were good. They made the potato sweet balls perfectly chewy and didn't taste too sweet. Good quality food I'd recommend.

Authentic HK dessert. This shop emanates from a stall selling traditional herbal tea and gets famous for its hand-made taro/sweet potatoes ball served with the sweet soup. It opens from 16:00 till the midnight and is popular among the locals. Recommendations: Hybrid taro balls served with Herbal jelly sweet soup/ green beans sweet soup 仙草雜錦芋圓 或 綠豆沙芋圓
