We had a really enjoyable meal here. Every dish we ordered was satisfying and full of flavour. I had the pork chop with rice, which came with a fried egg on top and a side of spring onion oil. The pork was juicy and well-marinated, grilled just right with a slightly crispy edge which is a classic Hong Kong comfort dish done perfectly.
We also tried the preserved vegetable pork patty with rice, which was served in a metal bowl just like old-school cha chaan teng style. The minced pork was tender and savoury, blended with finely chopped mui choy that added a nice, earthy flavor.
To wash everything down, we had a hot lemon water and an iced lemon tea. The drinks were refreshing and balanced, just as expected in a local Hong Kong diner.
The meal came to HKD 150 in total, which was great value for two hearty dishes and drinks. Simple, nostalgic, and delicious. Man Wah Restaurant is a solid choice if you’re looking for authentic local food...

Man Wah’s decor of rich blues, accented with gold and brass trimmings, perfeclty complement the azure views of Victoria Harbour and the Hong Kong skyline framed by blue skies beyond, preparing you for a Cantonese feast at its most refined. Inside the kitchen, local and regional specialities provide the culinary mantra for this Michelin-starred restaurant on the 25th floor of the Mandarin Oriental. Particular menu favourites are the soft shell crabs and succulent meats. Service...

The portions for rice dishes were great and more than sufficient for one person except for the steamed rice with pork rib and chicken feet which was not served as many meat as shown on the menu. The dishes were delicious and flavourful. My favourites were the curry beef brisket and tendon (with rice) and the beef meatballs. The meat dishes we got were all very tender too.
Food came within 15 mins. The service was decent. The place itself is a little small but that’s Hong Kong for you so nothing out of the ordinary. The place did have a disinfectant smell but not too strong that put you off and the food made up for it. Definitely coming again if I’m...
