Tsujihan in HK!
Tsujihan in Nihonbashi is famous for their long queue where people wait in line to try their zeitaku don. Good news for us in Hong Kong because they opened a branch here!
The seafood rice bowl (zeitaku don) contains a lot of ingredients from salmon roe, tuna, shrimp, shellfish, cucumber, and many more. It comes with 4 slices of sashimi with sesame dressing. It’s recommended not to finish the entire sashimi but leave 2 slices for later.
We really love this seafood bowl that is so rich and fresh. There are 4 types of rice bowl depending on whether you want more toppings or not. If you like sea urchin, we recommend you to take the Matsu course which is the normal set plus extra crab, sea urchin, and salmon roe.
There are 2 ways to eat this seafood rice bowl. First is by adding the wasabi to the soy sauce, mix it, and pour into the rice. Mix everything and enjoy~
Don’t eat everything just yet! Leave some rice and put the remaining sashimi on the rice. Call the staff to pour their signature seabream broth to the rice. It’s very comforting and warm.
Price wise it’s more expensive in HK but, it’s worth it!

The food is lovely, just ordered from the specials menu so far but I would very much like to return and try the rest of the menu. The Tuna rice is very good, particularly the minced Tuna, lots of flavour there. For anyone who likes eel then the grilled eel is a generous portion. The staff were friendly and helpful and took time to explain parts of the menu for me. It was nice to sit at the bar and watch the chefs at work. I will be making a special effort to try most of the menu here during my future visits. If you are in Tung Chung then this restaurant is definitely...
Read moreThough Tung Chung is not really my most active location, my husband loves shopping there, so it is nice that the outlet shopping mall can provide a certain variety of restaurants. Just recently, I have found a Japanese restaurant in the basement of the mall where my husband loved his sashimi rice bowl esepcially with the juicy looking urchin. Not only we loved our sashimi rice bowl/set, the green tea pudding to match with the cornflakes and mashed red beans certainly brought out the texture between something melting and crunch. Plus, the service was made special for customers when the staff explained the sequence of what to eat...
