Cabana Breeze - Relaxing eat-cation at a chill tropical restaurant

Entering the plaza of T Bay, you will be attracted by the three huge waterdrop shape rattan canopied sofas. Here is a large al fresco dining area that you could hardly locate elsewhere in HK and its vacation vibe immediately draw us in.

The exotic ambience continues in the indoor seating area - rattan tables, chairs and hanging ceiling decorations.

In the middle it hangs a crystal dandelion pendant light that pave your way to another style - the elegant chic bar at the back, brown leather stools and with bamboo steamer decor above your head.

We started with a perfectly grilled octopus salad. The tentacle is large but tender. It tastes refreshing with the tomato and black olive salsa. I would say it is a must-order dish with its price at HK$138 only for such a good quality.

Followed by Pescator - the al dente rigatoni goes well with tomato sauce, together with the seafood. It helps so much in stimulating my appetite and getting me feel balanced in between the Hawaiian pizza.

Their pizzas are cooked in a tailor-made woodstone oven. They make this Neapolitan-style pizza really well with very crispy edge! The flavour is balanced - I am so happy that the ham is not those salty ones. I was a bit worried when I chose it, but now I am glad with my decision. I must tell you that the portion is actually so big and we feel so full after that. We would not be able to finish it all if the pizza does not taste well.

Ended the long lunch with a cup of Cappuccino, and a pot of English Breakfast Tea (Twinings tea bag used).

Staff wear the Hawaiian shirts and they are very nice and friendly throughout the meal.

「𝐹𝑒𝑒𝓁𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝒷𝓇𝑒𝑒𝓏𝑒 𝒾𝓃 𝒶 𝓉𝓇𝑜𝓅𝒾𝒸𝒶𝓁 𝓅𝒶𝓇𝒶𝒹𝒾𝓈𝑒🌴🍹」 @cabanabreezehk is such a hidden gem in Tung Chung where you can sit inside or outside in one of the cabanas. The tropical/ relaxed vibe here makes you feel like you’re on a vacation! We started with the 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗶 $78 and 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗿 $118. They were quite some standard dishes that nothing could go wrong. Calamari with a squeeze of lemon juice and a dip of tartar sauce is just perfect to pair up with my cocktail - 𝗖𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗮 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘇𝗲 $88(HH). It’s actually the standard piña colada, but the coconut shaped drinkware was so cute and Instagramable. For the Tartar, salmon was so fresh and tasty when mixing with the sour cream sauce. For the main, we chose 𝗟𝗮𝗺𝗯 𝗥𝘂𝗺𝗽 $238 that the meat looked so tender and pink in the middle. It could easily be sliced by layers but I found it a little chewy, which I think is acceptable. Loved the broccolini, which absorbed the flavors of the lamb. Great pairing! We were glad the former dishes are not with crazy portions, so that we have room for a big pizza - 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗮 $145. All the pizzas here are freshly baked. It was so cheesy and the tomato sauce has a wonderful herby flavor to it. My favorite part was the crispy crust cause I’m a carbs person. Surprisingly it was the best dish of the night. In general, everything was alright for a casual dinner out with friends. I like the vibe and service here, would rather be here for a weekend brunch, sitting outdoor to enjoy the autumn’s breeze under such a tropical atmosphere. Also, it’s a pet-friendly restaurant, so it’s just perfect to chill out...

-ᴀᴘᴘᴇᴛɪsᴇʀ- 🐙Fried Calamari $78 Deep fried calamari served with tartare sauce. It is extremely crispy and calamari is quite chewy. When you eat with tartare sauce, you can feel how fresh of calamari is.

-ᴘɪᴢᴢᴀ- 🍕Margherita $145 It mixes with fresh tomato sauce, mozzarella, basil and olive oil. The pizza is crispy, thin and big. If you are fond of cheese, you must love this one! Lots of cheese are on the top of the pizza.😋This is our favourite dish!

-ᴍᴀɪɴ ᴄᴏᴜʀsᴇ- 🥩Baby Back Ribs (Half) $188 Dry rub and slow cooked baby back ribs and BBQ sauce served with fries. Due to the addition of dry rub, the taste is unique from the usual ribs. It is delicious and very refreshing! The ribs is so soft and juicy which are filled with BBQ sauce.

-ᴅᴇssᴇʀᴛ- 🍰Cabana Tiramisu $88 The tiramisu is very creamy. It feels like eating ice cream. Tasty and not too sweet.
