Accompanied a relative to the airport and we decided to sit down for a drink and small bite to eat. Went to the one located at T1, pleasant and clean surroundings with a very helpful auntie clearing the trays. Collected my food in satisfactory time, however I was waiting for my drink at the McCafe counter which seemed to be taking a lifetime - I kept checking the screen for any indication that my drink was ready but after awhile I became impatient and decided to ask. Two workers behind the counter dealing with the drinks and there not seem to be a big queue of orders but no one felt the need to either call out or indicate on the screen that drinks were ready (I’m not sure if the screen had issues or the staff didn’t bother to push a button to indicate that orders are ready). I mean I know everything seems like it’s self service these days but come on! Upon asking, my drink had been sitting on the counter all along (with other drinks lined up). eyerolls I then asked for a straw and the member of staff retorted that they don’t give straws to any drinks apart from bubble tea drinks - I was like “Oh”. She gave it anyways but was there really any need for that? If a customer requests, surely they should honour it? The lack of customer service/customer interaction was enough to knock off three stars from...
Read moreI stopped by McDonald's at the airport for a quick bite and ordered their signature burger. The packaging was sleek, giving a premium feel to a familiar meal. The digital art display on the walls added a vibrant touch to the atmosphere, making the fast-food stop more interesting. The ordering process was streamlined with self-service kiosks, which I found user-friendly.
The McCafé section was neatly tucked away, presenting a cozy corner for coffee lovers. While the place shone with modern design and convenience, the interaction with the staff was a low point. Their lack of attention and reluctance to engage, coupled with the language barrier, dampened the overall experience.
The food is as you would expected, but the service left room for improvement, especially in terms of customer engagement and...
Read moreBe careful of your boarding times. Each time I was here I lined up 15-20 minutes. The first time was fine as I was on a 6 hour layover but the second time I was cutting it very close just making it to my gate. If you’re here at Hong Kong International for a layover or connecting flight it’s fun to try the different menu items that they have for the local customers. I usually get myself a Iced Milk Tea but this location is a little skimpy with their cream (you might want to ask for more). The food itself is what it is - what do you really expect from McDonalds anyways? The service is quick to the best of their ability as there always seems to be a lineup. Good on the employees for being efficient and moving everything along. Maybe they can add some Self-ordering kiosks to...
