California Pizza Kitchen — Restaurant in Kowloon

I always go to CPK anywhere in the world for their Chicken Tequila Fettuccine, Kung Pao Chicken Spaghetti, Thai Crunch Salad and for dessert: Warm Apple Pie with vanilla ice cream. The food are always great...the service however, is totally a different story. Here in Hong Kong, I never expected much, but this particular branch in Whampoa did not even meet the basic requirements: no water was offered at all...I had to ask for it after I ate half of my salad! I ordered for ice lemon tea, which came with free unlimited refills (as stated in the menu) and no one offered to refill my empty glass, again...I had to ask for it. The staff just walking around without paying attention to their customers! Please, CPK managements do something about your staff here, retraining...

Had lunch here today. Went for the special lunch menu. We all had the soup with tortilla which was very tasty. We all enjoyed this. Husband had a pasta dish, he seemed happy with it. Daughter had the meatball burger, it was very bland, three meatballs in a standard bun with a slice of orange processed cheese. No presentation just plonked on a plate. I had the BLT pizza, we had no idea what this would be as it was not listed on the regular menu. First it took ages to come. The service in the restaurant was not good, but I think this may have been to a staff shortage. Second it was a pizza with chopped lettuce and tomato on top in a ranch dressing. The food is not as good as before, guess they change someone new or the chef's day off? Unexpected Pesto spaghetti, the sauce is exactly like carbonara. Which is too heavy and dry. Then they offer me to order other sets on menu, but the point is when the pumpkin rice arrived...when it came to my first bite, it tastes exactly like milk in a creamy way. The pumpkin is not melted into the sauce and rice. So disappointed about that visit! We were visiting since it's new in this location a few years ago. We get used to gather there with family and when I need to meet my frds. Easy to park downstairs and that's a comparitively big restaurant which have...
