Hak Po Alley — Restaurant in Kowloon

✔️ Last week, my friend and I had the pleasure of dining at Hak Po Alley (黑布小巷) in Lai Chi Kok, Hong Kong. As a frequent visitor to this restaurant, I can confidently say that it is one of my favorites in the city. The food is consistently delicious and the prices are incredibly affordable, making it a great choice for any occasion. Here's what we ordered:

1️⃣ 慢烤雞腿芝士蛋吐司 Slow Roasted Chicken Leg and Cheese Egg Toast ($56): This dish combines the tenderness of slow-roasted chicken leg with the creamy goodness of melted cheese and a perfectly cooked egg. The flavors meld together beautifully, creating a delightful combination.

2️⃣ 手工滷肉雞翼便當 Handmade Braised Pork Chicken Wings Bento ($68): The chicken wings in this bento box are cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful. The handmade braised pork adds an extra layer of richness to the dish, making it a satisfying and filling meal.

3️⃣ 花枝丸跟准鹽粉（5粒） Squid Balls with Authentic Salt and Pepper (5 pieces) ($28): These squid balls are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, perfectly seasoned with salt and pepper. They make for a tasty and addictive snack.

4️⃣ 蝦餅（3塊） Shrimp Pancakes (3 pieces) ($28): These shrimp pancakes are packed with flavor and have a nice crunch. They are a great choice for seafood lovers.

5️⃣ 夜市蝦卷（3塊） Night Market Shrimp Rolls (3 pieces) ($38): These shrimp rolls are reminiscent of the flavors you would find in a bustling night market. They are crispy, flavorful, and a true delight to eat.

6️⃣ 冬瓜茶（凍） Winter Melon Tea (Iced) ($9): This refreshing, sweet, and cooling drink is the perfect accompaniment to any meal.

7️⃣ 桂花雪梨羅漢果茶（凍） Osmanthus Pear and Lo Han Guo Tea (Iced) ($15): This floral and fruity tea is both refreshing and aromatic, providing a delightful contrast to the savory dishes.

Iced winter melon tea drink was cooling and sweet, with strong winter melon tea. Iced oolong cold brew tea was smooth and fragrant, with strong oolong tea.

Prawn roll was fried till the skin was crispy and the meat was chewy and juicy.

Fried fish cake was chewy, flat and huge in size. Sweet sauce was provided to go along with it.

Spicy slow cooked chicken thigh cheese and egg sandwich - This was one of their signature sandwich, very cheesy and lava egg very soft and smooth. Chicken thigh was juicy and chewy, spicy as well. Bread was toasted till soft and crispy.

lovely lunch with taiwanese food! it's in an industrial building and is only serving people that work in here. so the staff did a good job to ask everyone that gets in. easy order using QR code. just a bit struggling here that some food i wasn't sure about the size, say, i would like to have a egg pancake but having it only isn't enough for lunch but having another main would be too much (same as thinking about sandwiches). it's always the struggling point when i visit this shop. the mince pork rice was very good, especially with the crispy sour vege a side. the egg pancake was so-so this time, the wrap was too thick.
