McDonald's (Kowloon City Plaza) — Restaurant in Kowloon

Customer service is very weak here. With the store practically empty and running at off-peak time, wait time is unexplainably long for these conditions. Servers looked after their friends first and johnny-come-lately QUEUE JUMPERS instead of the people holding self-serve kiosk receipts right in front of them. You try to do them a favour by saving them some time and organising your own order and they disrespect you by serving the people that came after you first! Such rudeness --literally, we are doing their own job for them, but why? What's the incentive? What's the point? What hope can we have for McDonald's ever becoming a responsible corporate citizen if its employees cannot even maintain the basic social contract? Air-conditioning was uncomfortably cold and a waste of energy during winter weather. Turn it off! (We also cancelled our plans for the movies after visiting here due to the time blowout. Visited in the morning of the 1st day of Chinese New Year, I guess the lady working at the McCafe might be temporary staff. Not complaint but just to record my experience. Very poor experience in terms of services and coffee quality. The staff looked angry and spoke with “strong” tone (thinking in the best positive mind could be that she was very serious and focusing on the work), so never mind. I was handicapped with broken right arm, so I was not able to hold the board with a tall glass of coffee and a dish of bread on it using my left hand only. She saw that but hadn’t offered any help. So, I took the glass of coffee and the dish of bread myself separately. For the coffee quality (I ordered latte), in terms of look, not appealing to me. In terms of taste, very very light taste, no structure and details at all, perhaps just not my preferred type of coffee.

I visited Mc Donald's around 7pm today, I waited at the que for so long. The cashier were not on her place to take orders to the customers nor not even checking if there are some customers waiting for her to take there orders. She was at the cooking area helping cooking French fries and preparing the cooked orders. Me and the other lady said hello which needed to be recognised that we're waiting for the cashier, but still the Chinese lady cashier didn't care to check if there are people in the counter.
