Fika Life Coffee — Restaurant in São Lázaro

Terrible, unfriendly, unhelpful service.

I wanted to place an additional order (after already having consumed a sandwich and coffee) because I was impressed with the menu offering.

I was told I had to pay cash (I had run out after my first purchase) which was odd as there was a credit card machine placed on the counter.

I was directed to the nearest ATM so that I could get cash and order. This seemed like it would be a 5 minute trip, after which, I’d order and return to my table. However, they rudely told me I had to take all of my belongings (bag and book) from my table in case they needed it for someone else. This is despite my obvious intention to return and spend more money to buy their food!?!

A smile from the two people behind the counter (barista and female order taker) was also non-existent.
