Portuguese Bakery is a relatively new and promising place in Macau. It is located along the narrow Beco do Sal which splits from Rua da Praia Manduco (hawker Street). Opening hours are 8am to 7pm daily (closed Mondays). Stopped here recently for Portuguese style tart and espresso (MOP22). Espresso was mild but fine. Tart filling looser and somewhat runny compared to what you find at famous places like Lord Stows and Margaret's. Taste was ok. More enjoyed was the chorizo bread, which was baked well with good chorizo filling. I also liked their chocolate crinkles. It was soft, moist and not too sweet, a good afternoon snack. Overall, I've liked the products tried at Portuguese Bakery. Sadly their location is a bit tricky to find. MGTO city map of Macau won't help much unfortunately. Best to use google maps on your mobile device if you want to give them a try.

Very cozy and friendly cafe. It offers the special Portuguese bread and sweets. Don’t miss the new set choices.

Decent coffee and Portuguese tart was spot on. One of the only cafes in the area that is open from 8 am.

One of the best bakeries that has Portuguese foods, during lunch there are set 8 set meals, I chose the Creamy Mushroom Toast, the toast was toasted perfectly and the Mushroom sauces was one of the creamiest that I have tried, I would definitely recommend this to people that loves eating Portuguese...

I read some good review about it and expect to find an excellent bakery. After walking through some small streets and lanes, we finally found it. But we were a bit disappointed with the quality of the baked goods is not better than other bakeries we tried, and the selection...
