For the price, I could of went to a 3 star hotel with much better customer service. But the location of this hotel is very good with a bus stop outside the door.
Room: Cancellation has a fee two twin sized bed with a average bathroom. Lighting is not lit well and the room is enough for only two people because of the small size and unmovable beds. In my room, there is a view of the ocean. However from past stays, window rooms need to be stated during booking. For the price, I do think Masters Hotel is better than some other alternatives in the area, but my stay experience with their customer service changed my mind.
Situation/complaint: the front desk clerk thought I was a Chinese and gave me a hard bed mattress as his assistant explained because of cultural differences they've experienced in the past complaints by Chinese guests of soft bed. However, I am in fact not Chinese and they gave me a hard bed room without asking my preference. I had booked this hotel before and this had never occured until this stay. Earlier when I checked in the room, I used the ammenities without checking the bed thinking they were soft until I slept on the bed for the first time and realize my back was in pain from the rock solid mattress. I filed my complaint and the assistant clerk told me because I used the amenities, they want to charge from my deposit for cleaning fee. When I explained this miscommunication and lack of asking guests' preferences, the front desk clerk was very rude but the assistant hurried to deescalate the issue. After trying so many hotels in the area, the customer service is not worth my stay.

They provide you free Handy, it's a smartphone which you can use for finding places nearby Google Maps or planning for dinner, shopping etc. You have free housekeeping services, complimentary kettle with coffee etc, comfortable beds. The bus stop is right in front of the hotel if you want to arrive from Tipa terminal or airport. TV ( mostly Chinese channels ) Temple A-Ma is just at a walkable distance of 1.3km.. You can take a short walk to many other Destinations from the hotel like Ruins of St.Paul, St.Domanics church, Senado Square etc You may not have many dining options in the hotel but you will find a lot of Thai, Chinese and also one Indian restaurant nearby. My experience with Macau Master's Hotel was too good.. the staff are multilingual. You get assistance for taking cab, bus etc And also you have some books and all in lobby with you can refer to know more about Macau. The prices are affordable in off-season, but where as in December price of rooms is too high (Almost all the hotels are expensive in Macau) All I can say is: if you find a room in Macau Master's Hotel within your budget,...
Read moreThe hotel was clean and everything worked properly . I arrived at 12:30 and they were strict about checking in at 3:00, so I had to find something else to do after dropping off my bag at the front counter . Upon check out I wanted a taxi but they weren’t able to reserve one for me because only one taxi could be reserved for each phone and someone else already reserved one . However , I found bus 1 in front of the hotel goes to the border crossing and costs 6 MOP.There isn’t any breakfast or snacks but there is a 711 across the street . Be mindful that there has been heavy road construction in front of the hotel for sometime but most drivers are respectful of pedestrian foot traffic . If you need to go to the casinos on the other island. It’s worth taking the light rail (10 MOP compared to a 100 MOP taxi ride ). As you leave the hotel entrance turn right and walk for about 20 minutes , the light rail station (Barria) will be on your left hand side eventually . Overall I’d give the...
