Restaurante Jinyu Mantan — Restaurant in São Lourenço

Last Sunday, I went to The Jing Yu Man Tang dessert restaurant with my friends. This dessert restaurant is popular in Macau. My friends and I ordered some desserts and snacks, for example: mixed fruit salad, boiled pork knuckle with wasabi, deep fried chicken wings, sago in coconut milk. When we finished the desserts and snack, I gave this dessert restaurant some comment as below. The first point is the environment: I think it is big enough and the decoration makes me comfortable. However, it’s a bit crowded and too noisy because there are too many desks and chairs , and guests speaking loudly in the restaurant. The second point is the taste and looks of foods: I think the foods taste and look well! Especially the desserts are delicious and balance on tastes. However, it is a bit too sweet for some girls paying attention on diet. In contrast, the drinks were not as good as the tastes of desserts and nothing specials. The third point is the quality of service: I am not satisfied with their service because the waiter and waitress were lacking smile and warm service to the guests. Maybe there are too many guests to serve at the same time, even though they worked hard and fast. The last point is the price: I think the food prices are reasonable and cost worthy. The prices around about 35 mop to 50 mop for the desserts and 40 mop for the snacks . It is affordable for the youths. In conclusion, I will go to this restaurant again to enjoy...

Con: very cramp, the plate too big for the small table, unfriendly service, inconsistent food, sometimes long wait for seating

This popular place is where all the youth go for food and socialising. This place is always packed and everyone comes here for the desserts. We order few dishes that mimicks western comfort food, but it definitely heavily influenced by Asian cooking style. But it is not a good fusion. The steak and foie gras that we order, the steak and foie gras was overwhelmed by the pepper sauces. I don't like the mayo with sweet corn, it would be much better if it is only with grilled cheese. The minced meat with chips, the minced meat lack depth and the chip is frozen. But overall, none of them is exceptional or authentic, but it is edible.

I was impressed by the mango drink, but previous time was better than this time, thus highlighting the inconsistent of the drinks. The service definitely feel unfriendly as there is not enough staff, everyone is under pressure. The décor is bold but the light glister in every direction you can see.

Overall, I would not recommend this place. I would just put it as a place for social but not for...

It was a great meal in this restaurant “Jing Yu Man Tang”. The last Saturday I go to have a dinner with my friends. At first the wasabi trotter was a wonderful food that I would order every time I go to here. The fruit was also great at all and the fried French toast was not enough that also had a good taste. And some other fried food was also delicious but, the impressible food is the fried trotter. It was the last food but it was the best food we ate that night. With the black pepper sauce, it was a great tempt to have extra order. The environment in the restaurant was also good but the attitude of waiters can be improve a little bit I think. By the way it was not so expensive when we pay the bill and the food was also delicious, it can be a choice to have a dinner with family or friends in this restaurant, maybe it would have a surprise. - AO...
