Outback Steakhouse (Tseung Kwan O) — Restaurant in Sai Kung District

Considering it's price range, its service could have definitely been better.

There were various occasions when interacting with staff where while we caught their attention and they came by to help us, since we only spoke in English, there were multiple times where they would suddenly duck away or ignore our calls. To just walk away mid question of what the soup of the day was was very rude and could have been circumvented with a quick: "I'm sorry, please give me a moment to ask for someone else who can better serve your needs." I went with my family a little after peak lunch time on a weekday, so there were less people and staff. The level of service should definitely have been better.

Other than it's subpar service, its food and desserts were definitely amazing, both presentation...

Pricey for the quality of food. A steak, even if it is said to be a filet mignon, at $198 comes to our table with a very burned crust. The manager explained it is just a layer of herbs that came out like that... Be that as it may, the taste of the meat was just below par. The accompaniment of vegetables were overcooked and almost tasteless. We also ordered the shrimp risotto from the lunch set but it came out like a fried rice and the shrimp were dry from overcooking. There are at least 6 other places in TKO that I could ramble off in my head where I can have a similar priced lunch for 4 (@$700 in total, no additional drinks), or less and have absolutely no complaints about the food. We came on Sunday, August 4, for dinner at 6:30p. I want to personally thank the staff and management for their good attitudes and striving for excellent customer service even under the circumstances with the HK protests. Even with the issues going on in the city, and with many shops closing early, we still had excellent service, great food, and very kind-hearted servers to help us.
