Good place for evening meal that is mid priced and decent quality, meals average around $120 HKD per person and you are able to eat family style. There's quite a bit of varied food choices here but the roast pork belly is stone cold and not enjoyable. Best roast product here is the goose which can be ordered as whole, half or quarter. Rice can be added on as well. Portions for any vegetables are very small and expensive for what you get given you can buy the vegetables inexpensively from any wet market, so very puzzling. Steam fish is fresh and not fishy old tasting, most meats come with dips. Free hot water available, and various drinks up for ordering as well. Cold red bean drink is better from other establishments as Tai Hing's variant is mostly milk and cream and very little red bean. Boiled chicken and soy chicken are very fresh and tasty as well. Sweet and sour pork basic (has too much gristle , so pork chop variant is probably better). Has a fair few tourists but mostly locals from what I saw. Queues often at peak times, for short table seating times get in earlier if you have time as once roasted food is used it isn't replenished throughout the night. Not everything in menu is available, some items never available regardless of...
Read moreToo much MSG! Avoid if you have allergies! Thought it was a good local restaurant and was quite successful one but seems not anymore after 5 years not been back to Hong Kong. We ordered 3 main meal dishes 2 of them (diced beef tenderloin with potato on in honey and pepper sauce and stir fried sweet potato sprouts with clove oil) were full of MSG. We barely to finish them have to leave half of the dishes.
Tried to tell the staffs when they come to clean the table but the answer was nothing expected we need to accepted the MSG salty flavour on all dishes.
We both needed a few litres of water to flush out the tingling sensation and our lips gone swollen after consumed too much sodium after this meal of paid $260.
Not cheap...

She had worked there for roughly two years. One day, she looked at me in a grim reaper-like way and spoke to me in a mean voice. She told me that, quote-unquote, “你唔可以入來!! (YOU CAN NOT ENTER!!)” When I was told that she was fired, I had mixed emotions. I was happy because she couldn’t do that again, but also sad and angry because I couldn’t get...
