My friends wanted to visit here because they said it’s really popular & yummy. We visited on Wednesday at around 7.45pm. There was still quite a lot of people but we did not have to wait to get a table. Their menu is written on the wall, behind the counter & I find that really adorable. At first glance, we could tell that many noodles were already sold out. Shop opens at 10am but if you want kidneys with your noodles, you must wait till 10.30am for it to be served. So you see a lot of customers sitting there waiting for their kidney noodles.
But it was worth the wait. The kidneys were cleaned and deveined properly, so no funky taste, just crunchy. I added a tiger skin egg (deep fried hard boiled egg) instead of my usual fried egg and ordered a separate serving of braised chittering.

Stared at the menu on the wall for the longest time ever, without being rushed. The friendly young lady cashier then suggested the house specials. Not a fan of offal, but the liver tossed noodle was most delightful. Their spring onion sauce brought everything together. Every mouthful was so so satisfying.
A granny-like waitress served up this fried pork chop thing. She immediately poured a small dish of Chinese worcestershire sauce and shared that this was the way a local shanghainese enjoys this dish....
