Funkadeli — Restaurant in Shanghai

The service was top-notch, the staff was very friendly but I will not go back, Shanghai has so many restaurants to choose from and when the food is just OK, there is no need to return. I went as one of a group of five people and the reason we went was their Wednesday special - buy-one-get-one-free on the pasta dishes. We had a table booked for 6 PM, it had a chalkboard on the table to show it was reserved when we arrived almost an hour early. They didn't mind that or the fact that we took an extra table - the booking was actually made for 4. I would recommend booking, it is quite popular. Because it was the BOGOF we ordered six mains between us (four lasagne, one pesto, one tagliatelle with a creamy mushroom sauce. While we waited on the last of our friends to arrive we ordered a platter with some cheese and cold cuts. That was pretty good, the bread was freshly cooked and delicious. The Pesto was very oily and a bit bland, the tagliatelle was pretty good, the lasagne was tasty but not the best I'd had but I could have put away all three to myself as the portions were so small.
