Hongchangxing — Restaurant in Shanghai

SCAM!!!!! We were here with 13 people, we ordered our food and they had us pay upfront before the food arrived was 1195¥ (RM700). Very calculative of every item including condiments like coriander and beverages. Half way into dinner they switched off the AC - it was only 8pm and they were supposed to close at 10pm as per Google. We asked them for coriander they told us they've got off work, not able to serve us and the kitchen is closed. At this point we we're only 25mins into eating. We feel like this is a scam as we were all Malaysian girls with a mix of Chinese and Muslims girls. A friend recommended the Hongchangxing, and we are delighted we came! The food is exceptional, the prices are reasonable, and the staff is wonderful. It is the perfect place for a wholesome dinner with friends and family. Every dish we ordered was delicious and flavorful.
