Shake Shack Xintiandi — Restaurant in Shanghai

I came here mid Nov 2024 and went in to shake shack for lunch. Frankly it would be hard if you haven't try this restaurant before because their staffs are not really into English.. thank God I had a mandarin speaking colleague, phew! So no sweat.. we had a mouthwatering meal ordered. Shake Shack is originally from Manhattan, New York City, USA. This is their first branch in Mainland China that opened in 2019. From the opening until now, Shake Shack is always crowded, especially with young people. But it is much more better than before when Shake Shack has just opened, the queue was super long.

They have outdoor and indoor area. The menu consists of variant of burger, fries, hot dog, shakes, cups, cones, beer and wine. For the beef, they use Australian Angus beef.

Literally the worst burger I've ever had. 123 RMB for one classic burger, one fries and one Ale. The burger is smaller than McDonald's big Mac, by default comes only with one beef, bread is really sticky and tastes weird. Fries are wasted, such well cooked but not salted, and it is only served with ketchup or mustard, no mayo, no BBQ sauce. Beer is just mediocre, a little better than beer in supermarket, far worse than Paulaner which just sits opposite of it. Really, fool me once shame on you, fool me twice...
