香格里拉咖啡苑 — Restaurant in Shenzhen

This was the most overpriced and worst food I have ever had in China! We came at 2:25pm and was told buffet lunch stops at 2:30pm but we could order from the a la carte menu. Great! Ordered the burger told it was going to take 40 minutes; switched to the Carbonara pasta, 30 minutes, okay. Ordered the lunch special where the English menu said egg white fried rice and chow mien; they said it should have been an OR not AND. Alright fine, came with a small crock of Black chicken soup and a side of greens. The used mixed frozen vegetables in the fried rice and I had no way of chewing the deep fried dried scallops and had to pick the little pieces out before I cracked a tooth. The rice was sticky and there was no 'wok hei'. The pasta was nothing to write home about either. Also had a latte, meh. This...

On August 22, 2023, I had breakfast in this elegant and friendly “coffee garden” from 8:45 - 10:45.

Initially, I had cereals, fruits, cut meat, cheese and a yogurt. Then, I tried a Japanese fish cake and sushi.

Changing my window seat to a sofa in a corner, I managed to have wonton noodles with vegetables, a “tea-boiled egg”and an egg tart!

Apart from the comfy ambiance and great variety of food, the staff were helpful. It’s my first time having such a great breakfast...
