This food court could have very easily been an overly-priced place serving substandard food and watered-down drinks. But it is not. Prices are more or less similar with many other places in Penang, and though the food is nothing to shout about, it's actually decent. It's also clean, and fairly well-maintained by Malaysian standards. So if you're looking for a place to have a bite, a coffee or just a dessert while hiking Penang Hill, you don't have to look very far, or dig deep into your wallet here.

This is a two-storey food court at the top of Penang Hill. The upper floor houses food stalls offering fried noodles, rice, western food including pizza and laksa. There are drinks and fruit stalls on the lower level. The delicious ice kacang and fresh fruit juices are highly recommendable. Prices are not high considering the fact that everything has to be transported up to the hilltop. Sitting arrangement is tight especially during weekends and holidays.

Located on top of Penang Hill, this is a place where you can get affordable food and beverages. Although there are limited space, it didn't failed to draw in crowds. There are two levels, the bottom level sells desserts, beverages and some merchandise. The upper level sells dishes like laksa, western food, quick bites, etc. This establishment is a "Order here, self collect" type of service. I ended up buying a Mango Ice, cost RM9. The taste is okay after a long hike, very chilling and not too sweet.

Solid food options for ~RM7 per plate. It's not going to win any awards, but for the middle of a tourist trap on top of Penang Hill, this was a pleasant surprise. We had good Penang Laksa and Char Kuey Teow, and they have some various fried things (chicken nuggets, etc) and a whole Western food stall as well for the pickier and less adventurous eaters. Note that all drinks are sold on a lower level from the food stalls.

We had some ice cream and smoothies from a couple of vendors who were harassing us for our business. The ice cream sundae we had was mostly ice with two scoops of ice cream on top. The soursop smoothie was nice. The views are limited by the high backed benches. You have to go to the top floor to appreciate the views whilst enjoying your refreshments.
