I spent my Saturday night at this vibrant performance-show restaurant in Bogotá back in January, and it truly exceeded all my expectations from start to finish. As soon as I stepped through the doors, I was greeted by an explosion of color and creativity that stretched across multiple levels, each one revealing a new theme more imaginative than the last. One floor felt like stepping into a fun hell and then heaven, every space was a feast for the senses, compelling me to pause and admire the details that made each concept so distinct and memorable.

What impressed me just as much as the décor was the genuine warmth of everyone who worked there. From the hostess who welcomed me with a bright smile to the dancers whose performances left me in awe, every individual embodied the spirit of Colombian hospitality. They greeted me like an old friend, offering recommendations and insider tips with infectious enthusiasm (along with 'Colombian flirting' of course ;). A particularly special moment was when the restaurant’s female manager—around her 30s, though regrettably her name escapes me (maybe Alejandra..?)—took the time to personally guide me through the entire space. Her passion for the venue shone through as she narrated the inspiration behind each floor’s design, giving me a deeper appreciation.

Blend of music, dance, and random shows unfolded before my eyes, each act more dazzling than the last. I found myself drawn into their world, clapping and cheering alongside a crowd that buzzed with excitement.

Throughout the night, I diligently captured the experience with countless photos and videos, eager to preserve every magical moment and uploading stories. But no amount of snaps could truly convey the energy that pulsed through the air: the laughter echoing off the walls, the ripple of applause after each performance, the joyful conversations sparked between strangers. It was an evening that delighted me in unexpected ways at every turn.

It wasn’t just a meal or a show; it was a journey through art, culture, and community, all wrapped into one unforgettable night. If I ever return to Bogotá, I know exactly where I’m headed first. This place comes with my highest recommendation—prepare...

For those of you who want the bacon without the sizzle, scroll to the bottom to see the dishes in order.

If you only have UNA noche, to encompass Bogotá o Colombia en solo UNA momenta vivencia, this is the spot. “The bee’s knees”. Enjoy Colombia for it’s comida, culture, “bailando ahora” in the moment environment. You will have traditional Colombian dishes and overall quality when the food is brought out, right temperatures, etc. For this type of experience it overshadows any minor mishaps that could perhaps lower one’s view of any review.

I received great service from my host; Santiago (excellent recommendations) for how many people they are attending to… it was quite impressive. A random Wednesday night en Noviembre! They make it happen. No tenía reserva, pero as I abruptly walked in, las chicas me ayudaron de inmediato. Su nombre era “Katalina” o “Carolina”, muy precioso y amable as I was seated within a few minutes.

I took my time, había demasiadas opciones! Se estableció con suficiente comida para alimentar a 3… ☺️

La comida salió caliente, en orden y empecé con mis utensilios, que no duraron mucho. I ate with my hands. It was like being in front of your best friends and giving one a compliment, only to give the others compliments. No single dish/item got my full attention for more than 2-3 seconds.

By the end both my servers asked questions about if there were dos personas a mi mesa… no señor y señora, solo yo. I decided it was best I could not order anything more, I finished everything and a little something something was being whispered around “LOMO AL TRAPO”. I am a Texas BBQ connoisseur and when you hear Santiago explaining what it is… A medium-rare cloth-salted Tenderloin, a specialty of Colombia. Sold me Faster than a prairie fire with a tail wind. Any faster and he’d catch up to yesterday.

I am still baffled with my experience, this place leaves me wanting more of the dancing. But please, walk in with low expectations. The food was terrible.

All pictured: cloth-salted tenderloin, bandeja paisa (typical) Emp carne, emp pollo, emp queso CARIMAÑOLA DE CARNE, arepa con queso (highly recommend if you like cheese and...

Would you please, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY, in this restaurant. I was there with my family for dinner. My expectations were very high because The restaurant’s name is mentioned in many tourist guides. First, I did a reservation for 8 people at 6:30 pm, unfortunately one of my guests arrived late, after 7:00 and you are not believed, The seguridad do not allow him to come in until he must pay “COVER” of 20.000$😳😳 even though he was in a reservation at 6:30 ???!!!😳😳. They assigned the table in the worst corner, of “the infierno” under the stairs, Second: we started with a waitress Laura, she wasn’t attentive, we have to call her or wait until seen her every time we need something, suddenly other different waitress shows up in our table, but sadly we didn’t see any different, and at the end we were calling whoever was available and near us. Third: The food is terrible, the chicken was uncooked, we asked to chance it and they took it and brought it back the same , at the end we refused it, thinking it could be a bad for the stomach. We have to avoid a food poisoning. Other plate was beef chorizo, that it was the same, uncooked, completely red and we requested to cook it more, then other person showed up in the table to fix the problem, saying “ if a take the meat to the kitchen it will be dry “ but we can’t eat that and we request please cook it more. Fourth : The food is the worse, look like was pre cooked. We made the orders and the food was in our table 5 to 7 minutes later 😳😳😳 how long is take to cook the meat? ? When we get the food it was just warm and we supposed to end cooking it in the hot tray !!😳😳 it was not fresh. And have not tested Fifth : the price is too expensive for the service you receive. AT THE END I REFUSED TO PAY FOR A CHICKEN, THE SERVICE AND TIP. I spoke with a manager who I made aware about my terrible experience and completely disappointed with the services NO CUSTOMER SERVICE in this famous restaurant 😳 The customer satisfaction have not exist.

I HIGHLY NO RECOMMEND ANDRES CARNE DE RES There are to many restaurants, with delicious food and excellent customer...

The Andres Carne de Res is actualy a scam: they are a copy of Hardrock Cafe but translated with the colombian motives. Service we experienced was very bad: they brought the food and forgot the forks and knives, they brought botteled beer instead of draughts and, when asked to change it, they started to convince us to they did not had draught beer (even if several tables close to us where drinking draught beer), english is not their language, if you are lucky one or two will speak with you in "ingles".. Food was a strange mix: the empanadas we had were very good, the beef steak was also very good. But: hamburger was tasting like paper the potatos were refrigerated and the sauces were all of them coming from supermarket (except empanadas sauces). The restaurant itself lacks lights and for people wearing glasses it's definately a struggle. The atmosphere is cold and distant, completely opposite of what they pretend to be. The decorations: they have almost no explenations for their decorations and decorations itself are having almost no point and no semnifications. When we attended the restaurant they were displaying the symbols of Gabriel Garcia Marques (the yellow buterfly) which stands for hope and peace. Imagine: the restaurant itself is decorated in the theme of "Inferno", so the symbol of peace was displayed in this weird kitcky atmosphere ?! The performers: for our taste the people singing, doing tricks with cards, coming dressed like clowns or beachboys are simply not belonging in a restaurant. Moreover, everything they do it's just annoing. Overall: some was the food was good but it's simply not enough for a good restaurant and for what Andres pretends to be. Andres Carne de Res is just a kitschky scam that mix the unmixable in the same place.
