I stayed for 2 nights as part of the trip to Colombia. Hotel is very nicely and conveniently located in El Retiro district of Bogota, to be even more precise in Zone T - which is the most luxurious area in Bogota with a lot of luxury hotels, fancy restaurants and shopping malls. I would say location and price are 2 best things about this hotel, as in all other terms it is just average business hotel - definitely not a destination for romantic getaway, however more than enough to just spend 2 nights exploring Bogota. Historic center and Monserrat mountain are 20-25 min by car and Airport is more or less same distance (without traffic) which considering the size of Bogota is quite close :) Rooms are clean and quite spacious, Privilege rooms (to which I was upgraded as ALL Platinum member) have bathrobes and slippers, views can be different depending on which direction your room is facing - mine despite being Privilege room was facing the other building which was not very appealing. Breakfast is just average - they cook omelet which is very good and have some fruit selection - otherwise not a huge variety. Hotel doesn't have restaurant - only breakfast room and small nice bar in the lobby, which though is serving limited list of drinks (however the barmen, apologies forgot the name was really nice guy). They also have small gym on the last floor as well as sauna. Overall, I can recommend hotel for those just looking for the place to sleep for 1-2 nights as location is really great and price reasonable, while definitely not for longer stays and not for any couples or...
Read moreI stayed here for most of my stay in Bogota. The pros: It's a good, clean service with great staff. The breakfast was pretty good, especially the Tamales, and the kindness of the breakfast staff, especially the older guy who treated me to Tamales because he saw that I loved them and would miss out because I was usually late. Pablo, was very friendly and went out of his way to talk and made sure I was being help always. Andres, was hit or miss. He tried but often seem to be making things up as he went. Although, some times helpful by checking to make sure I was safe.
There was a situation that could have been dangerous, as men entered the hotel and made it up to my room and there was no way to get them to leave, except to pay give some cash. That alerted me that this hotel do not have security measure in place. They said the called the cops, but I was not convinced it handled properly.
The staff does not speak English so many times, I realized, they would pretend to understand me but I would not get things I asked for. Some staff tired, but also they were not very accommodating. I asked for a late check out and told flat out no by one, then I asked another the next day, and was told yes. The "do not disturb" sign on my door didn't really get the respect. They would knock any with questions such as laundry and questions. There is no consistency with customer service here. But overall, it was a good stay as I needed. Management seem non existent.

Read moreDo not stay at this hotel if you don’t speak English and want proper customer service. The receptionist are downright rude and yell at you for not speaking in Spanish and will continue to talk to you in Spanish even if you try to translate and communicate with them with an app. Read your receipt carefully as well as they will add additional charges already paid. All these with a very bad customer service personal and other unprofessional gestures in between. The room is okay but appliances need update as they are in their last leg. ||Management - at least hire one person who is bilingual that can be reached by phone. ||The best part of the hotel is its breakfast along with an amazing service. Caring and hospitable people greeting you in the morning. If they change the front desk personal, upgrade old appliances and towels, the hotel has a potential...
