BBC PUB CALLE 85 — Restaurant in Bogota, Capital District

Fun place for a couple of beers and hamburgers which were delicious and nice sized. Good attentive service even when it was a slow Saturday afternoon and few good soccer games to watch. Our American waiter was great and helpful with the channel even though he admitted he "never got into soccer". We were having fun chatting among ourselves or I would have used the analogy it is like hockey which most Americans understand. His Spanish was excellent so my wife and son felt very comfortable. Hmmm, they've changed the layout since the last time I was here. Better light and more open. But what happened to the service? I stood at the entrance for ten minutes, there was a chain up due to Covid rules. I finally let myself in and found a table. There were only two other groups in the restaurant when I came in. Another ten minutes went by. Three employees walked past me with their heads buried in cell phones. When one of them returned he greeted me and I finally ordered my beer and pizza. Which, thank goodness, were as good as I remembered. Low marks for service!

Hmmm, han cambiado el diseño desde la última vez que estuve aquí. Mejor luz y más abierto. Pero, ¿qué pasó con el servicio? Me paré en la entrada durante diez minutos, había una cadena debido a las reglas de Covid. Finalmente entré (sin tener contacto con un empleado) y encontré una mesa. Solo había otros dos grupos en el restaurante cuando entré. Pasaron otros diez minutos. Tres empleados pasaron junto a mí con las cabezas enterrada en los teléfonos celulares. Came in at 1230 for lunch. Waited at the front booth for 15 minutes with no workers in site. Grabbed menus and sat ourselves where we waited another 20 minutes before going to the bar to order.
